Re: Stockholm Syndrome... I got on a plane on Thursday at 7am which was such a pain in the ass at the time but I have spent the last 5 days recovering and I honestly am only just now starting to feel human. After 5+ years of LSAT, law school, bar exam... I just can't believe the pressure I've put myself under for this. So glad it's over. I got a stack of books at the library for my trip and have been averaging a book a day. My reading speed was fast before but law school turned me into a monster. My husband said I couldn't possibly be reading every page until I gave him a detailed synopsis of what I was reading.

Post-bar exam is funny like that... there's something like a void in my life now that it's finally over

I didn't even bother with Terry analysis since I thought the cops had PC for the car and therefore, the search was legal.

I wasted a lot of time on the dog house question talking about agency issues. It was only at the very end that I realized it was also a statute of frauds question. I quickly typed in a few sentences about it being unenforceable due to a lack of writing; I just really hope whatever I typed up was coherent.

The easement question: I just said that there wan easement by necessity over the two eastern parcels and that the owners of those two parcels could decide between themselves where to place the easement. I mentioned that Triple A's prior knowledge of its landlocked nature might affect its ability to get an easement by necessity, but I concluded that an easement by necessity probably still arose because I couldn't remember anything about whether prior knowledge impacted the analysis.

For the northern parcel, I said an easement by necessity could still exist and I referenced my analysis for the eastern parcels. I also said there was a possibility of easement by prescription or implied easement.
Agreed re: probable cause. Having seen suppression hearings like these over and over again, I'm pretty sure that hypothetical search would be upheld. But it could definitely be argued the other way.

Good point on the SOF aspect of the agency question. There was SO MUCH crap to talk about. I also mentioned the exception to the SOF where there is an oral agreement between two merchants followed up by a confirmation. And, of course, the potential detrimental reliance argument. Not nearly enough time on that one.

The agency question was a big pain in the ass. I did that one last because evidence was my stronger subject, so i did that last question first. So naturally I was rushing by the time I got to talking about the dog houses...

Has anyone had their character interview? I just heard from my investigator (despite sending my application in February) and he hadn't gotten a bunch of my references. He said the examiners want his report by October so now I'm in full panic mode trying to get it all sorted out in time. Wondering if this is normal or if I should be worried.

It happens and is normal. in fact, even when one of my references didnt make it to the investigator, I just had my reference write another up and email it directly to her and it was all sorted out.

Has anyone heard about the system glitch in the MD online application that has indicated to takers in the past whether or not they passed? Supposedly before results come out you can log in to your application, click on My Application and see either all green checks or red Xs . I don't know if this is still a thing or not but it was discussed on another forum. Just wanted to see if anyone heard about it and if there is some truth to it.

I heard about that glitch as well, but I am of the opinion that it is BS. But who knows??

Has anyone had their character and fitness interview yet? I have mine scheduled for this week and I'm a little nervous about it...

The interview is in DC. I don't know why I thought the interview had to be in Maryland?

Anyways - if you have any advice about the interviews let me know! Should I expect to be grilled?

Mine lasted exactly 9 minutes...haha

They want to verify it's you - ask questions like what your parents do, etc. - and ask any questions they may have about your character. Nothing weird was raised in my investigation so that was that!

This is off topic & not about the July 2015 exam *but* if anyone has essay materials for the MD bar exam, after you find out that you've passed (!!!), please be in touch! I'll be sitting for the February 2016 exam and after taking the bar exam in MA, I'm not about to go through a bar course just for the materials. Mostly interested in essays along with sample essay answers. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate & will gladly compensate as well :D I know MD has examples on their website but I am all about the more the merrier.

OMG. I can't believe we have to wait another 7 days. Back in September, I couldn't have cared less about the results, but the closer it gets, the more antsy I am. Seeing Virginia takers getting results today was frustrating. This is the day they released last year. I am sure our results are just sitting in a cabinet somewhere waiting for next week. I wish they hadn't boxed themselves in to a specific date. RAR.

Hi everyone. I hope you are all dealing with the nerves better than I am.

Does anyone posting or browsing on this website know anything about a glitch in the MD bar system? I have all green check (as of 2:00 p.m. today) and am praying this glitch is legit. I been searching and people have stated that he glitch was real for at least July '13 and July '14.

Also, I just got contacted by C&F to send additional info before they set up a personal interview. Does anyone know the significance of that message? That is, is this in anyway indicative of a pass? Thanks to all who have posted and those in advance for responding to my neuroticism.

My understanding of the glitch in prior years was that the green checks in your application status turned to red upon failing (because you will have a new application pending) but I have no intel on whether it's been fixed or not or how far in advance before release the checks turned to red (I think it was only like a day or so).

No indication of a pass unfortunately. Sorry. My investigator contacted me in September for my stuff that hadn't been received and I had my interview in September.

Good luck!!!! The next four days waiting are going to kill me.

I'm a barred attorney in Virginia and will be sitting for the MD February 2016 bar exam. Recoup some of your money by selling my your study books. I don't care which company as long as it is fairly reputable. Shoot me an email to brwill1086@yahoo.com . Thanks!

Thanks for your response! I have a similar understanding about the "glitch." Looks like we may just have to be patient until Friday.

I think the glitch is legit because I have a friend who said the last time she failed her seat number wasnt visible, it said "null" in that section.

Then before she passed the next go-around her seat number was still visible..

How far in advance of the release of results date/time did she find out?

The glitch is legit. Last year I took the bar and on the morning of the day when results were to come out I was able to click submit petition again, and when I clicked it all green check marks turned into red x's. I failed. Try tomorrow morning if you wanna find out. If it stays green or gives you error saying you can't resubmit petition you likely passed.

Did she pass Feb '15? If so, was there any talk about red x's?

Re: MD bar exam score, when do people receive it in the mail (ie. same day, Friday)?

Also, if you pass, is your mailed package substantially larger? (As opposed to a single sheet of paper saying you've failed)?

Silly questions, but am curious nonetheless.

I did not have it the day before, only the day of the scores being released (October 31st) at around 8am. I haven't seen anyone from Feb 2015 discussing it so maybe they fixed it this year, not sure.

My account is now showing "You do not have a valid petition to show" but my seat number is still there, and my application still shows all green checks. If I click on Petition in my application, it will allow me to select Feb 2016 or July 2016. :|
