Congrats! I got a 102!!!! I CANNOT believe that for even a second. I was on board with those who thought a lot of the questions were unfair.
Looks like what they say is true after all. Hope everyone received similar good news

Squeaked in with an 89. I think that means that if I had gotten one more question wrong, I wouldn't have passed. Kids, this is the downside of just studying the night before.

Damn, dude, that's the equivalent of getting, like, a 175 on the LSAT. You're like, 99.4 percentile ethical, dude.

"downside"? you got the best score of anyone who reported ITT. what are the 140+s doing with those extra 50 pts? this was a p/f game and your p means just as much as anyone else's. gratz.

Wait, we can't sell our surplus points to people who didn't pass

Passed by a wide margin. Barbri was pretty good preparation, though reading the Rules might also have been just as good.

For whatever it's worth to future takers, I did the Kaplan video, and I think that as a result I was slightly less prepared than people who watched Barbri. Still, I think Kaplan + just reading the damn rules all the way through (which I didn't do) would have gotten me a passing score by a more comfortable margin.

107! I was so worried I'd be retaking in August right after taking the bar.

Congrats to everyone who passed. I watched the Barbri video and spent another 30 minutes reading over the outline they provided and passed by over 30 points, and that was it. Go Barbri.

So how does this work? I took the MPRE twice and I got an 84 and an 82. I'm in California, so I need an 86. How many questions do I need right of 50 to get an 86? All the practice tests I took ranged from 31-34 out of 60 correct.

If you're going to cram for it, two days before.
If you're going to "study" for it in a non-cram fashion, watch the video and review your review materials the weekend before, and just drill some practice tests whenever you get a chance during the week.

Two afternoons with the Barbri book should be sufficient to pass.

The test has like a 90% pass rate and most people barely study. You don't need to do much. Take the free course offered by BarBri or Kaplan, do all of the practice questions, and you'll pass by a mile.

Do some questions one week before so you can gauge how much studying time you personally need. My friends who followed the "you'll be fine, just look at the material two days before the exam" tended to be pissed at that advice. My friends who started more than a week in advance said they'd definitely over-studied.

Spent four hours studying the day before. Listened to a lecture on the car ride over. Got well over 100.
