Re: Barbri paced program question?
so weird I am feeling exactly the same. I feel like I peaked 2 weeks ago and was feeling awesome, now I can't read anything and just want to curl up into a ball and die
I have so much to memorize and I can't even bring myself to look at anything, I don't know how it will be possible!

Re: Barbri paced program question?
I seem to be doing great on harder areas with tons of nuances and crappy on straight forward questions. I either over-think the answer, or assume its a trap. Anyone else noticing this?

Re: Barbri paced program question?
Glad (well, maybe that's not the right word) to see some other people in the same boat. I'm good for 7-8 hours of solid studying per day, but there's a precipitous dropoff in ability to retain information after that (sometimes after only 4-5 hours).
And I'm also in the boat where I start to forget stuff that I knew cold earlier in the day. When I was in law school I took that as a sign it was time to quit studying for the day. Tougher to do right now!

Re: Barbri paced program question?
I remember about a month ago some people were talking about how frustrating it was to have essays assigned since we don't know the BLL yet. Yeah….I still feel that way. I'm staring down a corporations essay right now about 10b-5 and fuck if I remember all of the elements. Guess I'll be open booking this one. Hopefully I can do some decent essays closed book before, you know, the actual day of the bar.

Epstein is nuts, which is why I respect him. He made a reference to "Behind the Green Door" in his contracts casebook. Richard Freer is probably me second favorite lecturer in the Barbri series. Did anyone notice that Chemerinsky reads his outline word for word from memory?

My bar has a professional responsibility essay portion. Does anybody know if Sarbanes-Oxley requires or merely allows outside reporting if climbing the corporate ladder fails?

Reporting up is mandatory, reporting out is permissive.mvpforme wrote:My bar has a professional responsibility essay portion. Does anybody know if Sarbanes-Oxley requires or merely allows outside reporting if climbing the corporate ladder fails?

Re: Barbri paced program question?
I got 97 on barbri sim mbe
my percentile rank is 18
Should I give up or what?
I took NCBE previous test after and got 65% right with a time crunch. Am I the only who who is slow with ready on papers compared to computer or ipad?
I appreciate any positive tip that can help.

Re: Barbri paced program question?
so I hear that once you get past studysmart set 4 the questions become absurdly difficult and esoteric
anyone else going to just quit studysmarts after that and study solely from real past MBE questions?

Same... I took a look at them and they are incredibly difficult to the point where they are unhelpful/ a confidence killer.jaydizzle wrote:Yup, that's what I am going to do. I have been using Adaptibar, but I think BarBri has them in PDF format somewhere but I am actually not too sure about that.plath wrote:where do you get "real past MBE questions" from?MoneyMay wrote:Same... Re: Barbri paced program question?
I'm not sure if the Mixed Subject Set PDFs on BarBri website are real past MBE questions either, and I'm having trouble determining this. You'd think it would be clearly stated somewhere. Why the hell should I spend all my time practicing w/ questions that are gonna turn out to be totally unlike real MBE questions? Even if the real ones end up being easier, it would still be an unpleasant surprise to see for the first time on exam day that they're totally different.plath wrote:where do you get "real past MBE questions" from?MoneyMay wrote:Same... Re: Barbri paced program question?
Alright I'm trying to figure out how essay/MPT scores are factored into your overall score. Can anyone explain this?
My state is 50% MBE, 38% essay, and 12% MPT. The essays are graded on a 6 point scale. The required score to pass is 270. So if I scored a 135 on the MBE, what essay/MPT scores would I need for a 135 on that half of the exam? Would an average score of 3/6 on essays cut it?

To get to the real MBE questions in Barbri, go to "Practice Questions" within the Enrolled Student Center. Then at the bottom of the page you'll see "Released MBE Questions" arranged by category. There are around 40 per subject.jaydizzle wrote:Yup, that's what I am going to do. Where can one get these MBE questions from Barbri? true, but FIY I was told by a Barbri atty that they released them b/c they are old and accordingly they are relativity easy so keep in mindjuly14bar wrote:To get to the real MBE questions in Barbri, go to "Practice Questions" within the Enrolled Student Center. Re: Barbri paced program question?
The Mixed Sets 4-9 are never assigned on the Paced Program (or at least mine, the online version), so I guess those are just extra available to practice. Also, it seems like the Half Day Practice Exam and Full Day Practice Exam in the MPQ book are not assigned in the paced program and are just extra. It's pretty confusing though, all these different sets in different places, hard to keep track of whats-what and what I've done and not done...
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
