Hang in there!!! You can do this.HoneyPot wrote:Thanks for all the support, everyone. It's hard to even think about registering for the July exam, but it has to be done pretty soon, so I just did it before I have time to convince myself not to take it or to wait until next February. Trying to keep my chin up. And not to cry in the middle of court (I'm a law clerk). So far so good.
Continuing wishes of good luck to all of you that have yet to get your results!

That's wonderful! Congratulations!!!boquita44 wrote:Yes! I was a second time test taker, so my confidence wasn't the highest. The afternoon MBE was much more difficult for me than the morning, so I took that bad feeling with me until results were posted. I passed this February 2016 exam. I raised my overall score 11 points -- all on essay. I was peeved that my MBE score was virtually identical to July 2015, especially considering how much time I spent on it with Barbri. I was so happy when I saw I passed that I cried.Worthless1 wrote:Did any of you who passed thought that you failed?

Still no bar results here.
Partner at the firm I work at has said "today's the day!" All day long for the last 10 days. Still rushing home to check the mailbox. Still not sleeping.
I'm tempted to call the Board of Bar examiners tomorrow and ask what's up. but maybe they're just spending extra time grading and regrading my exam. Maybe I did so awesome that they had to sit down and regrade it 10 times now, just to be sure that I passed...

I logged in to my Bole account to see if I could proceed to sign up for the July exam. I could. I hope that's not an indication that I failed February's exam. I'm becoming obsessed...

Anyone go from feeling kinda good to feeling absolutely miserable about their performance to... passing?

The pendulum swings from failing to passing almost weekly. It's incredible how a test can be so difficult to decipher. I think this is more of a hazing ritual than a test.

I concur. I feel fairly confident -- but that fear of NOT passing is so powerful. We made it through two months of waiting, but these last handful of days are the absolute worst.

Yup. Well, yesterday, I was feeling confident. But tonight I feel miserable. I'm convinced I screwed up way too many times to have passed. Essays are my strong suit, but I definitely feel like a missed too many issues.

When I consider the issues I missed, I tell myself that structure is important. Then I flip-flop and tell myself, what good is structure if you missed too many issues. Graders won't like that.Worthless1 wrote:Em_Banc wrote:Anyone go from feeling kinda good to feeling absolutely miserable about their performance to... passing?

Also, I had a blackout period from MBE 25-75 on both sections (not literally). Does this mean I was in the zone? Missing every one? Singing a song to myself?

I knew I couldn't be alone in how I'm feeling...just needed to vent and hear from others on here. This week has been rough with the pendulum swinging. I feel like I'm going through the 7 stages of bar grief and I haven't even learned of my results. I'm trying to stay confident and keep my head up but it's so much easier said than done.

I'm so worried about how I did now that I'm actually crying. Those who believed in me won't anymore if I failed again.

You are not alone. Definitely, in the same boat. Swinging on a pendulum every day. I hope and pray it works out favorably for everyone.

Re: Feb 2016 bar results waiting thread
I think for the most part people generally care about themselves. Aside from your close relatives and employer, the Bar is just a hard test and it will be an inconvience if you fail. For us, law has been our life for the last three years, and we are betting the farm we pass. When I get those feelings that I will let people down, I "try" to remember that people barely care, and I'm the fool for freaking out. Works sometimes, but attempting to be apathetic is NOT working--we are stuck caring about a test we no longer have any control overWorthless1 wrote:I'm so worried about how I did now that I'm actually crying.
