NY Bar Feb Exam: Support Group Forum

I am furiously trying to keep busy at work. However, the one chance I had to let my mind take a break, I became flooded with thoughts that there is a very high chance that today is a day of reckoning. I was perfectly content with pushing this off in my head knowing that I will have to deal with bad/good emotions on another day. It just hit me hard that if the results do come out at 5pm, I will be at work when it does.


In July, someone was able to get the scoop on the fact that the results were coming out at midnight. Does anyone remember how long in advance that information was leaked? Also, does anyone know if the same leak occurs for the Feb exam results?

I believe that was me and I found out via the NY Law Journal website. I am watching this site like a hawk.

Will that be extended also for those who don't pass? I know they offer 14 days to register for July -- but what about the May NYLE?

I called this morning. They are not extending the NYLE deadline for May for reapplicants.

This seems very unfair, especially since they know many of us are repeaters and they already took a boatload of money from us.

I'm going to hit some golf balls at the range after work... My phone will be in my golf bag, that way if we do get the results and they don't go my way, at least my swing won't get affected (as if it's any good as it is).

I fervently hope everyone in this group passes. Ya'll are warriors, especially those who are retakers (I am one, too). I've come to realize in situations like this -- as hard and unfair as the circumstances may be -- that it is really "the courage to continue that counts." Churchill said it and never have truer words been spoken, let me tell you. We are so much stronger for this.

...and well, not to end this on a petty note, but let's face it, we're all so much stronger than this wimp who never even took the bar exam!

Justt a reminder hint when you get your results:
For those of you who are afraid to open your PDF of the test result letter, the file size of the PDF is a big hint.

If you passed = File size of 32-33Kb
If you failed = File size of 96-98kb

I really wouldn't put stock into news that's coming to you third-hand... It would only make worse the anxiety I already have about it all lol

You're probably right, but it makes me less stressed about 5pm today/12am tomorrow, as I'm trying to tell myself that nothing may happen today haha

With gmail, you just have to move your mouse over the attached file and you can see the size.

Random July passer checking in. For the July 2015 results in October the NYLJ published a very brief blurb at 10:30 pm indicating the results would be out at midnight. Cue an hour and a half's worth of panic. Not sure if they will do the same this time around.
