MBE had about 20ish questions easy in both am and pm.....20ish or so where tough but doable....the other 5oish where really hard to gauge....about 10 on each side of noon where rediculous/experimental.

Overall iam hoping for a strong 63-5ish % correct...

Haven't done anything to hurt chances yet...hope we get easy B.A. and Wills questions to rack up points!

Whether you study tonight or not, go to bed a little early, and then tomorrow just pace everything out at 30 minutes following CREAC. If you get to the end of the 30 minutes, move along.

General observations:

day 1 - absolute cluster. biggest complaint of the day was not being able to get up to pee in between MPT & P&E. what is the reasoning behind that because it's terrible. bonus - I'm pretty sure Martin shkreli is sitting at the table next to me.

day 2 - my morning portion was harder than the afternoon. I think people get different exams. I also had several Ds in a row and either As or Bs in a row but I can't remember which. definitely Ds. Martin shkreli was back again, guess he's gonna tough it out. saw some criers. also feel like I narrowed down to 2 answers for 75% of the questions sooooo

tomorrow - gonna be worse than day 1. we won't get out until 7 pm probably. also been dreading essays the most.

by far the weirdest part about this whole experience is how numb I feel. I'm stressed because my body is definitely manifesting it but I don't feel stressed. I feel like I don't care and I walk out every day shrugging and then wanting to gossip with my friends. is that normal? I don't feel great or confident but I also don't feel like a failure - I just feel nothing. and it's 1 am and I know I need to get up in 6 hours but I'm just like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and I was a major stress monster during bar prep. this is just so weird. can't wait to see Martin shkreli tomorrow. he keeps me going

Who the fuck is Martin Shkreli

Also, I wish I saw some criers. Everyone told me I would and I didn't even see any at the terrible July exam.

I felt the same way after July's exam.... I think I was so stressed and delusional I just couldn't care anymore. But I DID care, my body was just too tired to feel it lol. I didn't even feel a sense of relief after finishing on Thursday. I was just like..... whatever. Then for 2 weeks I turned my brain completely off and didn't think about anything bar related. The stress about results took awhile to kick in (but I did walk away convinced I failed because of the MBE)

People finishing today (who aren't reading this as I post it because you're currently doing morning essays): If you have this opportunity, definitely take it. The first two weeks after the bar I spent doing manual labor in 100+ degree heat, and it was wonderful.

(Given the weather this winter, I figure we're only about two weeks away from that kind of weather anyway.)

I'm not taking it this go-round. I'm guessing y'all just got out though?

And here I was thinking you were! My mistake.

Morning session ends at 11:47. They started real early.

The questions seemed pretty easy. The oil and gas one was a pretty straightforward yes or no question, and then two questions about what the primary and secondary terms were.

UCC, Corps, Trusts, and DTPA are up this afternoon.

You saying trusts because you know it's guardianship and you want me to do bad so that your answer will look better compared to mine?? Hmmm???
What do you know that I don't (besides, apparently a whole lot about guardianship)...

Lol

I mean yes it could be guardianships as well. Just figured it would be trusts based on some smoke that's coming out of my ass

Here's something for y'all as you finish up. Might want to nurse it though... your tolerance has fallen during bar prep.

Quick debrief.

Essays weren't bad at all. No weird curveball essays cough cough July 2015 property cough cough.

Morning session was pretty straightforward. The O&G question was fucking easy. In fact, I was scared by it being so easy because I thought there was some "gotcha" in there that people would overlook.

Wish I studied a little more about adoption.

Afternoon session not quite as easy. I still hate commercial paper. Glad we got a trusts question. Pissed we didn't get a corporations question because I studied that subject the hardest. For the non-takers here, we got 2 agency/partnership questions.

That last agency question was a joke. Took me 5 minutes to write.

But most importantly, it's finally over. IT IS FINALLY FUCKING OVER.

The fact patterns looked much shorter than most of the fact patterns from previous essays. That was kind of weird.

I didn't know anyone else taking the bar today. If anyone is down for a drink later, I'll be grabbing one at that outdoor bar at the JW Marriott later tonight.

I'm glad you guys thought it was easy. I am not from Texas. You guys have family law, we have domestic relations. The live testimony distinction I knew, but drew a blank on the question. I need a pep talk. You really only need to get 202 out of 300, weighted 270 out 400 to be on the mark to pass. Is that hard? Are the essay graders generous? The lack of transparency in the Texas process isn't reassuring. From what I hear, if you fail, they tell you your essay percentile, but not your score. If you pass, they don't tell you the score. Do you guys know any people who missed an entire essay and passed? I attempted them all, but I don't know.
