My hope: that the Texas BLE saw how bad the MBE scores were, knew how it would impact the scaled scores for the other parts, and told the graders to be a little more "generous" than past years.

That feel when you ask a partner what the firm policy is on failing the bar, and he responds: "I don't know, that's never happened here."

I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually Thursday this year. Typically, the BLE has released scores on a Thursday when Friday was the announced date. Maybe they're just telling the truth with the actual release date this year? Have bar exam results ever been released on a Wednesday?

I'm convinced it is going to be Thursday. Especially after the email last week.

Oh no. You may be right. 2011, 2012, and 2013 July results were all released on a Thursday. Ugh.ebo wrote:I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually Thursday this year. And 2010 too. That's upsetting. Here we were thinking Wednesday for sure.Leira7905 wrote:Oh no. You may be right. 2011, 2012, and 2013 July results were all released on a Thursday. Yeah, but they were also all released a day early of the posted date, right?

On the Feb Exam the release date was a Thursday and they were released the day before.

Yes they were. Let's hope that the day earlier thing is the pattern, and not the Thursday thing.akili wrote:Leira7905 wrote:Oh no. The day before is the pattern, not the day of the week. I'm not saying it's impossible for them to not get it out till Thursday, it's certainly possible, but last test it was a Wednesday as well.

Here's a desparation gauge... If they offered you your scores right now, but you had to pay them 100 bucks, would you do it?
If enough people did it, I bet we could lower the bar exam application rates.

Jokes aside, I probably would so that I can actually get some work done around here instead of refreshing this page and the BLE page every 30 seconds. I remember in high school you could pay to check ACT/SAT scores early--most people did as far as I remember.DamnLSAT wrote:An epically desperate response. ...I'd pay like $500 tbh. My life is in limbo and I just need some answers so I can start making decisions.DamnLSAT wrote:Here's a desparation gauge... If they offered you your scores right now, but you had to pay them 100 bucks, would you do it?

If I got a job and bar results, I would pay $500 for that.akili wrote:...I'd pay like $500 tbh. I'd pay it happily to be out of this misery. If I knew that I failed, sure I'd be upset, but at least I'd be able to start dealing with it. It's the not knowing that drives me nuts.DamnLSAT wrote:Here's a desparation gauge... If they offered you your scores right now, but you had to pay them 100 bucks, would you do it?

Re: Texas Bar Exam July 2014
Hypothetical I think about when I can't sleep at night- How much would you pay for points added to your score? I'd probably pay $100/point and throw down $3000 to boost my score 30 points just to be safe
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
