Are the barbri essays actual MEE essays?
If not, where can you find the actual MEE essays from the past x amt. of years? Or is there some place that shows the most heavily tested issues within each subject on the MEE?

I think so, the exam date is at the bottom of each prompt. You can find past essay topics and sample answers here: https://www.nybarexam.org/ExamQuestions ... stions.htmGGMcSwift wrote:Are the barbri essays actual MEE essays?

Yes they are the real MEE essays, the bar essay book has the date at the bottom that each essay was tested. I believe there is a chart at the front of that book showing highly tested issues in each subject.
Also- JD Advising's One Sheets has the highly tested rules and a chart showing when they were tested.
The NY link above is not applicable for before July 2016, NY wasn't UBE at that point. You need to look for MEE essays.

I bought them and used them for the Feb. exam (NY), passed with 151 on essays (first time taker). It was worth it for me, helps you focus on issues that are likely to be tested and you don't get overwhelmed. There's a discount code that was recently posted in the the bar prep forum from the website owner.GGMcSwift wrote:cnk1220 wrote:flyingboy wrote:I think so, the exam date is at the bottom of each prompt. Wait guys -- urgent -- is the NYLE mock exam actually graded? Was not expecting substantive questions for mock exam and not in a place where I can look at outline / there's a time limit

I don't think it's graded. But you should have an email with a link to a document with the five answers. The document just contains the question and the correct answer choice. Check the email they sent you.Sprout wrote:Wait guys -- urgent -- is the NYLE mock exam actually graded? I'm having trouble accessing these. I've tried a few browsers but still get a "Error establishing a database connection" message. I hope so. As an out of stater, I want this whole thing over with.
It's a bit more painful for me because I grew up in NY but live in LA now (I've been practicing for a year). So I was this close to getting guaranteed NY lol.

Checking in. Using Themis. NYC resident used out-of-state school address to avoid getting Javits (which isn't even a testing site this July *face palm*)

Any reason for thinking this? Out of state, taking in NY, annoyed that this is still an open questionSlytherpuff wrote:Yeah, I'm thinking it'll be either tomorrow or Wednesday for in-state people!

Last year out-of-staters got the email on 6/8 around 9:45am, so in-staters got it 24 hours before that. So either today or tomorrow we should be getting it if they stay on point with last year.Caesar Salad wrote:Any reason for thinking this? Took a week and a half off, decided on a pre bar vacation. Should I make up the old lectures first or keep up with the daily lectures and catch up on the old lectures as I go?
P.S. I have only done the first Tort Lecture so far and I use Barbri.
