I don't do the whole verbatim memorization thing, I just review the rules once a day to try to remember some of the more nitpicky stuff I've been having trouble remembering.redblueyellow wrote:Thanks! Did any other jurisdictions send out emails regarding the number of times per day you're allowed to pee, or was that just WV?

"I'm sorry, miss, you've already went to the restroom two times during this period. The state of WV does not allow you to pee more than than during any three hour period. Please put your hand down and continue working."Holly Golightly wrote:Did any other jurisdictions send out emails regarding the number of times per day you're allowed to pee, or was that just WV?

We're only allowed to pee once per session. Not kidding.

I remember seeing so many of the same people going to pee. Maybe every hour.Holly Golightly wrote:We're only allowed to pee once per session. Not kidding.
Is there a rationale behind it? Are the restrooms not located in the test room or something? Or are they just being ridiculous?

Re: February 2015 Bar Exam
They're blaming the NCBE.
I'm going to call and talk to someone about pee for a very long time tomorrow.
SO MUCH ANGER.The West Virginia Board of Law Examiners has instituted a change in policy regarding bathroom/water breaks during the bar exam. In accordance with the test security recommendations of the National Conference of Bar Examiners, applicants will be permitted to leave the exam room for no more than one bathroom/water break per three-hour testing session (i.e., one break in the morning and one in the afternoon). Pursuant to longstanding policy, no additional test time will be granted for time spent on break. If you have a medical condition which would interfere with your ability to comply with this policy, contact our office by 5:00 PM EST Thursday, February 19, 2015

This would absolutely wreck me. I plan on drinking a large amount of coffee prior to the examination and that makes you pee like no other on an empty stomach.

WTF what an absurd rule! I like bathroom trips just to move around and get a break when needed. Plus I tend to mindlessly sip water during tests. I'd be furious if this was restricted.

Say you have your period. They can't prove otherwise, and the amount of discomfort if you tell them you have a heavy flow would be super amusing.Holly Golightly wrote:Oh I'm seriously calling and asking for an exemption tomorrow. And whoever I talk to is going to get to hear about how I pee a lot.

Re: February 2015 Bar Exam
So, someone explain to me. Is Fed Jur ever on the MEE? Why do I have to learn it? Conflicts hasn't been tested for years right? They axed Commercial Paper this year right?
So, there are really only seven MEE subjects: Agency, Wills, Trusts, Corporations, Secured Transactions, Family Law, and Partnerships? And, there is about a 50% chance that only two of these will be on the test instead of three? This isn't like California, where you get at least one cross over per test right?
So, My knowledge of the seven subjects will make up between 15% and 10% of my exam final grade? BSing will probably get me 50% of those points, and no one really gets more than 80% or so, so I'm really looking at my knowledge of MEE-only topics making up like 30% of my score on the portion of the section that is worth 10% - 15% of my grade. So, actually studying the MEE-specific topics is worth a variation of 3%-4.5% of my final grade, or approximately 10 or so MBE questions? The value of learning each topic is about the same as getting one-two more MBE questions right.
My knowledge of MBE subjects will make up between 65% and 70% of the test?

I'm basically just reading the Glannon Guide and doing the multiple choice Qs in it to learn civ pro for the MBE...hope that is sufficient.

Re: February 2015 Bar Exam
before you freak out make sure your state has actually eliminated it. The whole MEE vs. state essays distinction is lost on me (and I already took and passed one bar) but I think each state can decide what they want to test individually. So maybe it wasn't a waste!minnbills wrote:Definitely glad I spent like 5 hours learning Commercial Paper.

Yeah I'd rather have one less subject to worry about for sure.
So I added up all my MBE questions from the past two weeks and across the whole I am hitting 52%, which I figure is not that bad considering Barbri's averages. It just seems I am WAY too streaky.

I hope Kaplan is as hard as Barbri apparently is. So fucked.
But since my caffeine has stopped working, now I need a Good Wife break.

You know what I really really fucking hate? secured transactions. It feels like a simple topic that is made needlessly confusing and for whatever reason I just cannot wrap my BRAIN around it. I'm absolutely terrified of a secured transactions-heavy contracts questions.
Anyone have strategies for this?? So far my biggest moment of clarity was when I thought "oh....its like buying washer at sears." And then it got to automatic perfection and the moment passed.
