Yeah, that was a ridiculous mess for no reason.. You'd think with all of the emails telling us to double check our stuff they would have done the same on their end. I wonder how many students across the country were affected. Luckily it seems like most people were able to get on and use their laptops right before the 10am delayed start time.Yazzzay wrote:Ditto on the exemplify fail. 10:30? Yikes... Armory started by 9:40. It does seem that most issues, including mine, were fixed relatively quickly, however it's unsettling to say the least when you've paid $100 for software and have an approved computer and you get a casual, "Oh, guess you'll have to handwrite the exam..."lolabear727 wrote:Yeah, that was a ridiculous mess for no reason.. Uh, yah no. Hopefully the bar exam gods won't judge me too harshly for quasi flipping on the tech.

I checked it last night and it worked fine - only to find out that I should’ve left it on (which actually pre-fiasco would’ve been the riskier option) because no WiFi = no Examplify. The
Ironically the very same dude who helped me today was the one who helped me last July when a fiasco actually cost me points. Good times

Then we were in the same room. That was a nightmare and a disgrace, examplify needs some competition i.e. a replacement. I can't believe they stayed with the company after that debacle 4 or 5 years back. Whose dumbass idea was it to issue a new version so close to the exam? Why were there so few examplify people? It makes me sort or nauseous to think I pa8d them $100.00 for that software.Yazzzay wrote:Ditto on the exemplify fail. You think they would plan these things more appropriately or anticipate issues. It won't, it's resilient and the sticky part is like glue, we may end up cutting them off lolNicolena. wrote:nada123 wrote:Are the wristbands waterproof?

Cut it off with a scissor and use scotch tape to tape it back on.

FYI: I uploaded my exam last night, got a confirmatory email from Examplify, and then an email telling me the contrary. We were told today to ignore the second one. If you got contradictory messages, don’t worry.

How is everyone else enjoying post-bar life. Doesn’t it feel great do not have to do...anything? (bar-wise

It's been pretty sweet! I had no idea how much stress I was carrying until I felt relief yesterday. I'm a pro bono scholar so I still have a semester of law school left but doing pro bono work is going to be a cake walk compared to what's behind me.b290 wrote: How is everyone else enjoying post-bar life. Hello everyone,
Congrats on writing the bar exam and getting it behind you, may all your nonsense make sense
and good luck to those who are yet to or about to write the MPRE and NYLE.
Plan on taking the NY bar by July or Feb 2019 depending on how confident I feel before July though and would really like to start preping now. Plus, I'm a foreign trained lawyer so its going to be 4 times more work
. Anyone interested in selling their bar prep materials and all other bar related material should please PM me or email me at kayceeonyegam@gmail.com.
Thanks y'all and sorry for the long post.

Re: 2018 February New York Bar
Just in case you were wondering when results come out, here are some past examples:
Feb 2017 - April 26 (Wed)
Feb 2016 - April 26 (Tue)
Feb 2015 - April 28 (Tue)
Feb 2014 - April 24 (Thurs)
Feb 2013 - May 2 (Thurs)
Basically, you're looking at the last week in April, or roughly 7-8 weeks from now. Early May is the exception, not the norm. With the UBE, results have tended towards the early side.
My $.02

Has anyone started the application? How early are we able to submit (once we all pass) in order to get the first admission dates?

The Second Department usually sends out reminders some time before results come out (late April-May 1st week), but you can do it whenever.JustHawkin wrote:Has anyone started the application? How early are we able to submit (once we all pass) in order to get the first admission dates?

Already received a survey e-mail from the February 2018 UBE exam I sat for in NY? Isn't that a little fast to be sending out surveys? I don't plan on taking it and hope it has no impact on the score. Won't know until May anyway what the result was.

There will likely be other emailing a about your experience... don’t read into them as indicators of passing or having to take it again...

I can assure you that the survey emails are no indication of whether you passed or failed. I received them prior to finding out I failed, and received them prior to finding out I passed. You should expect to receive multiple (anywhere between 2-5) survey emails prior to receiving your February 2018 exam results.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
