Yeah. Actually spending about 3/4 of my time on MEE subjects this week. Mostly reviewing slides from my course and then talking through essays out loud and then reviewing the model answers. Gonna try to do a full essay on the topics most likely to be tested, though. So a family law one, corporations, trusts, and maybe wills.Mlk&Ckies wrote:That's what I'm hoping (I assume you're still going to go over the stuff that isn't on the MBE but is on the MEE, right?)whitecollar23 wrote:Does anyone see a point in doing MBE-subject essays other than to stay sharp with timing? Dropped to 55% on 100 MBE questions from 2011. FML. I need to shift focus though to the MEE/MPT. Can anyone recommend some good free resources? Thank you!

Yea - I ordered too. Can't worry about lunch. And I've actually heard the food they serve is good. Even if it's a few more $ than I'd spend anyway, it's definitely worth it. I've already spent something like $300k on law school so what's a few more $ to make sure i'm not hungry next tues? LOL.
Today is the deadline to order I think

Kind of suspicious that the people who ask about whether everyone pre-ordered their lunch only have one or two posts on this site, and the posts are about lunch. Do these catering companies not get enough profits without having employees come on here trying to get everyone to order lunch?
I did not order lunch. It's outrageously expensive. I've taken the bar exam once before (failed due to not adequately preparing because I was preparing for an overseas move), and I had no problem with getting lunch and having time to relax. Though that time I took the exam in Saratoga. This time I'm taking it in Albany, but from what I've heard, there should still be enough time to buy lunch!

Firms will reimburse meal expenses. If you don't get reimbursed it's not worth it.ChocolateTruffle wrote:Kind of suspicious that the people who ask about whether everyone pre-ordered their lunch only have one or two posts on this site, and the posts are about lunch. The security policy doesn't mention wallets. Can I have my wallet in my ziplock bag? I don't want loose cash/cards.
Also, I can't live without my eye drops, lip balm and hand moisturizer. I don't see those on the prohibited list, so would it be ok to have those in my bag too??
From what I can remember from 3 years ago (last time I took the bar), I took all of those things with me and it wasn't a problem. But I don't know if things have changed since then...

I thought the MEE was graded on a 1-5 scale? Why does this say 1-10?

None of the items you listed should be a problem. I believe I had my wallet in my pocket when I took the exam. There's a lot that's not on "the list" that is just common sense to have with you (wallet, Metrocard, etc).ChocolateTruffle wrote:The security policy doesn't mention wallets. Thanks. Barbri led us (or at least me) to believe it was 1-5. So on a 1-10, is a 7 passing?

I wear contacts, I wonder if I could bring my glasses, just in case I'm a dipshit and rub my contact out of my eye or something. Happened to me during the LSAT and thank god I was able to stick that dirty thing back in.

My Themis rep said that 5 is the average score, and 7 is definitely a good passing score. He said if I scored 5s all across the board and did reasonably well on the MBE, that I should be fine to pass.ellewoods123 wrote:ChocolateTruffle wrote:It's definitely 10. I really can't function with dry hands. I MUST put on lotion after I wash my hands. And I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to use the bathroom at some point during the day, and I won't be able to focus if my hands are dryEasy-E wrote:Oh shit, are you pretty sure about the hand lotion? I would take your glasses for sure just in case. I am wearing my glasses because not taking any risks, but air conditioning dries my eyes out, hence the need for eye drops!

I wish I could find ANY info about White Plains. It seems like no one on this board is/has ever tested there. I feel like I'm gonna show up and someone's just gonna push me in a puddle.

For the people taking it in NYC that knows the area of the test center, is there affordable food options in the area? I'm still trying to decide whether I should just buy their lunch.

From what I can tell from reading this forum, there aren't many food options near the center in NYC and the cafeteria is closed, which is why most people order their lunch and that's why the company is able to rip you guys off because they know there aren't many food options.whitecollar23 wrote:Deadline is today!AndroidLawyer wrote:For the people taking it in NYC that knows the area of the test center, is there affordable food options in the area? They have electric pencil sharpeners in the back of the room that we all used during the break. I brought my own pencil sharpener, but only used it during the breaks. They didn't seem to care that I brought it, but it might depends on how strict your section's proctor is.allthelaw wrote:Albany taker....
