Another UBE passer here. They don't give the passing people a breakdown of how they did in this state. Themis for the win!

I've noticed everyone who took Barbri had a much higher Florida score than us Themisers when compared to the MBE. It verifies that Barbri is the king of Florida section bar prep.

I took Themis and scored 153/155. I felt GREAT after the Florida essays and was in the gutter after the MC. Especially after the whole ordeal when all the Barbri folks talked about how the nailed the MC.

I agree with the above 100%! I took Themis for Florida and got 156 FL / 166 MBE. Lots of Florida multiple choice questions did not seem to be covered in the Themis outlines or lectures, but that apparently didn't matter as I obviously passed easily (Florida requires a score of 136). Themis Florida essay prep and MBE prep was right on, and I felt well prepared for those portions, especially the MBE.

I would use Themis again if, God forbid, I had to take another bar exam.

i haven't gotten my results back but i did not feel good about the mbe even after doing all the themis qs. i was scoring in the 60s percentage wise. did you guys use anything else to prepare?

Not that I think its particularly helpful to my psyche to hash this out at this point, but I didnt feel good about it at all.

Was scoring in the mid 70s. Also took NY.

At least the MBE is a more objective part of the exam. It's probably going to be easier to increase your score on that than more subjective essays.

Have you thought about using Adaptibar? All real questions. I found it very helpful but haven't got my results back (NY).

If I have to retake (NY), Ill supplement with something else. I felt comfortable with the practice MBEs from Themis, but they didnt feel representative of the real thing on test day.

Bport, I think that may have just been this MBE in general. I know I felt the exact same way, that essentially, none of the question even resembled the Themis MBE ones I had practiced so many times and I ended up scorching the MBE anyway so keep the faith! Haha

More like screw them...if I did that poorly on the written part to were I would fail if we are that close on the MBE.

Passed NY with a 158.5 MBE. I'm a serial procrastinator and wound up doing 90% of my studying in the last month before the exam. Wound up finishing about ~60% of the Themis program in total (finished most of the lectures and practice MBE, but did very few practice essays). It seems that Themis ended up working out for me. My wife is enjoying the iPad too. Kudos to Themis.

Wheres my iPad?

You had to ask them for the tech package. They just charged you the cost of an iPad and sent you one with your books. There was no benefit to getting it from them unless your firm was paying for the Themis. Even with the iPad, Themis was half the cost of barbri, so my firm had no qualms about paying.

For future prospective purchasers of Themis:

I passed NY and completed about 60% of the course. I supplemented Themis with Adaptibar because I was more comfortable with 100% real MBE questions. This meant that, had I done exclusively Themis, I would have wound up 75% completion. In the end I did terrible on the MBE so I'm not sure if Adaptibar made no difference or was my saving grace.

Overall, Themis is an excellent program and will save you a lot of money.

Passed with a 160.2! For future students reference, I completed 95% of Themis, so probably should have done even better on the MBE. However, I thought the questions were odd and different from Themis. However, goes to show that it still prepared you for random-ass MBE questions!
