^ I won't quote you in case you want to delete, but REALLY obvious which one you're talking about there.
Figured it's safe to err on the side of caution re. discussing actual MBE questions on here.
ETA: someone just posted before me. This is meant for mr. skateboard on the previous page

Meh. Probably too close. Damn rape shield and related and very, very, very limited exception.

Why are we discussing specific questions? It's like you guys want to be tortured.

Torture is not knowing how we did for 5-7+ weeks.zot1 wrote:Why are we discussing specific questions? It's like you guys want to be tortured.
It's a damn scantron. There's really no reason why the NCBE can't give us our MBE score within a week.

I thought IIED for the non-chair one.Hutz_and_Goodman wrote:
So are you saying both of these are battery? One is chair pulling out I can't remember the other. In neither was there "harmful or offensive contact" so I thought all the claims likely to fail but at least IIED was possible.

Agreed with the torture. I think I'm done talking about questions.odoylerulez wrote:Torture is not knowing how we did for 5-7+ weeks.zot1 wrote:Why are we discussing specific questions? It's like you guys want to be tortured.

5-7 weeks would be great. NY is generally 3 months.

I don't even remember the MBE. I just filled in bubbles. After getting punched in the dick by the essays, I hardly had much left to do the MBE questions.
At least there were less mortgage questions compared to last year.

Nah I'm saying that one is and one isn't. Not going to be specific because I don't want to break the rules, but you can figure out which one is which.

Lol at the whole "I don't want to break the rules" fear. Like someone from the NCBE is really gonna read this, figure out who you are, and come knocking on your door.

It actually wouldn't surprise me much if the NCBE tried to get TLS to take some posts down -- that sort of thing.M_n_M wrote:Lol at the whole "I don't want to break the rules" fear. Like someone from the NCBE is really gonna read this, figure out who you are, and come knocking on your door.
I'd rather not find out if TLS would be willing to infringe on our privacy and send our IP addresses to NCBE if requested. That would be embarrassing to explain to C&F.

Re: MBE - how'd you feel?
Lol I never actually look at those. I wonder if a mod was actually contacted by the NCBE or if this is just due to fear of another lawsuit.History_Buff wrote:Well it is stickied at the top of this subforum.M_n_M wrote:Have you heard of this actually happening?History_Buff wrote:I'm more concerned about TLS bans actually.M_n_M wrote:Lol at the whole "I don't want to break the rules" fear. Glad I haven't talked about questions much. I just haven't because I know the more I talk about it, the more that I'll piss myself off about a wrong answer.

Re: MBE - how'd you feel?
Not sure. I assume it's the value at the time of the embezzlement. That's the only thing that made sense to me. Kaplan didn't cover it. There might be some 'one should not profit from his own wrong' stuff here too, but that probably goes to restitution or something similar rather than the determination of what crime to charge a person with.moreheesh wrote:So when it comes to embezzlement, whats the correct way to measure the amount embezzled??
Or I'm wrong. Don't take any of this as fact.

Re: MBE - how'd you feel?
The only person I've discussed actual content with has been my wife who took the exam 2 years ago. I've sent my friends a link to this poll so we all feel better about the MBE, but I don't know what value there is in discussing the specifics of questions. I've avoided the NY Support Group thread when everyone started going nuts over the essays.M_n_M wrote:Glad I haven't talked about questions much. I believe it's measured by the loss of the true owner at the time of the fraud, not the gain by the thief.moreheesh wrote:So when it comes to embezzlement, whats the correct way to measure the amount embezzled??

See I thought the total value, NY trusts has a similar concept. Lost opportunity...
Edit- I mean who gets the rest, certainly not the embezzler.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
