Or maybe it said "populated by", as in, they are linked behind the scenes? IDK. just paranoia at this point.
My badge is definitely different. I did the manual upload, but I'm not certain I uploaded the correct one. I think I did, but cannot be sure. Might just go early tomorrow for funsies.

Yeah, I spent about 5 minutes trying to figure that situation out.

I think my softest # was my applicant # for the FL Bar (not my badge number). I believe the instructions were trying to give us a glimpse of the innerworkings of soft-test interfacing with the information super-highway (i.e. our badge number would replace the pre-filled number (FL Bar #) during the mythical upload process).

I really don't understand why they make the instructions for everything (even how to use the bathroom) overly complicated.

I used manual upload. Some Stuart guy sent us an email. Click the manual upload, click the history/login button, enter your credentials, upload the answer from the answer files.

Did anyone else freak out when the proctor started randomly reading the rules for the people handwriting the exam? I was searching around for papers I didn't have. Made me feel real dumb. Then I took the exam and felt more dumb.

If we didn't know that the bar exam was offered twice a year for what, 30+ years, you'd think this was the first time they ever administer the examination.

EVERYTHING took so much longer than it needed to.

NO one had a speakerphone, but instead tried to shout (and some of these were tiny old women....bless them....). There were no signs for getting BACK to the afternoon session, yet proctors were somehow screaming at the students to "hurry up please!"......it's not our fault that you decide to let 47 lines form that go in the most intricate pattern known to man, then tell each security guard to ask for you to recite the entire alphabet in greek backwards at the metal detectors. Then as you feel pinched for time? people are essentially running through the detectors.

It was a mess from an administrative standpoint IMHO.

And fuck examsoft. I have 7 emails, 5 saying I failed and 2 saying I succeeded, 2 texts saying I succeeded, but no way of checking because the website and application sucks.

Yes, I figured what was happening, but someone near me opened their test book ahead of time. He clearly was freaked out when he realized he wasn't supposed to do that, so I didn't say anything, but holy shit they should get that straightened out.

SenorTaxLawl wrote:Hey everyone, half way done! Forward and onward.

Re Test Upload: I tried four times, got four yellow screens warning me that I had no test uploaded. Then tried the manual method, the website wouldn't load. Then while waiting a second to try and call support, I received an email confirming my upload.....wat? I never tried a fifth time. So hopefully that happens for one of you!

Re Test itself: 75 Wat. The essay portion went like this for me: Read first essay, recognize a few issues, but felt like it was just tooooo much so I wanted to see if there were easier essays. Went on to second essay. I was taken aback.....was this basically ANOTHER K essay? No. Couldn't be.....move on. Essay three. YES! TRUSTS! I KNOW THIS SORT OF!.....AG wants to get involved? Wat? Also....where the fuck is this massive torts essay we all expected and studied for? Oh god....did I miss something? Do I think 2 is K but it's actually Torts? Is it more torts than K? More K than torts? Fuck. Back to 3. Okay. write write write, bullshit, write write. Took way too long. Fuck. Back to essay two. write write write. confused as fuck. write. Okay, pretty much done, but fuck! took too long and didn't address the ethics issue. UGH! Move back to essay one. Write write write. AAAAAND times up, and I have SO much more to write. I did not issue spot nearly enough. Oh god. Doomed. DOOMED!

Basically I was, and still am, 100000% fucked and wanted to cry like you cannot imagine. Man cry, of course.....maybe.....

Went to lunch, came back to that CLUSTERFUCK of a mess of lines. Seriously FL Bar peeps - organize your shit better. That was a mess.

MC starts, and literally the first question I was like "I have noooooooooooooooooooooooo idea." I was counting on it to save my ass......and it sure as hell did not.

End of day Assessment: I feel like absolute garbage. I know that's normal, but I totally feel like my garbage feeling is so much more than YOUR garbage feeling. I'm sub garbage. Lololol.

BUT!!!! Nothing to do about it now. Nothing. Move on, hope the MBE is my savior.

Best of luck to everyone - the general feeling of despair in that massive room is heart wrenching (don't worry guys, 99% of that despair is coming from me), but we are half way done with this shit and we have life to look forward to!
Are you me? Because this was almost exactly me, especially when I read the first two questions...except I didn't actually get to writing more than 5 sentences for the first question before time was called. The M/C didn't throw me too much but more because I'm an out of stater and based on barbris weird questions was expecting the worst. that's not to say I think I did well more that the bar was already set really, really low. I hope that this year because they got crazy and tested the new topic that enough people were thrown by that and the lack of big torts that the downward essay curve is much more generous.

Godspeed to all my homies at the convention center.

I'm finna gun real hard re: a hotel room for my exam period next year. What's the closest/best hotel? I've never been to the TCC, unsure if it has a connected hotel.

I'm at the Westin and it's super nice and has a good breakfast buffet for not too much. They set up a study center with free coffee and snacks. Their bed is also super comfy so I somehow got good sleep before day 1.

I've heard Embassy Suites (which is closer, but not meaningfully) is also good. FYI if you're worried about getting there super on time, don't. The amount of standing around you do is ridiculous.

Thanks a lot. I just tried to book at the Marriott Waterside, but they won't be selling rooms for July 28-29 2015 until August 10. Irritating.

My favorite or least favorite was the girl that had a freak out in the middle of the exam. If someone starts clapping, laughing, screaming incoherent nonsense in the middle of the exam, they should be immediatley removed. It sucks to crack like that and I feel bad for her, but the proctors shouldn't let it impact the other people in her general vicinity.

Anyways, glad it's over! Congrats!!!! We probably did it :)

I heard about this... was all the way in the back two rows so I didn't get to peep the actual freakout. I did see a table collapse right next to me... pretty funny I thought. Congrats guys. We made it!

Was anyone close to that girl? What was she yelling about? I just heard a lot of yelling and saw proctors lightly jogging towards the noise.

I too am curious about this. I was close enough to here the yelling but not enough to catch any of the actual words.

OMG someone please fill us in!
I thought I heard something, but I was near the back end of the room... My boyfriend was waiting outside to pick me up and overheard some people talking about a girl freaking out and that they took her out of the room.
Funny because I thought the afternoon was the easiest of the entire two days...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
