Also passed with a 158.5 MBE. I'm sure that my NY-specific scores were much worse than that. Anyway--never again.

Do we ever get a more detailed score breakdown or is just scaled MBE and pass/fail?

Quick question for anyone that may know the answer:
I took the MBE in NJ, so my MBE score wasn't released with the NY results. Is there anyway to find out my MBE score now, or do I just need to wait until NJ results are released.
Thanks in advance.

Passed with a 160.2! And, I thought the MBE questions were...odd! Didn't know how I felt about the MBE afterwards!

Does anyone know the deadline for C&F? I just sent out all the paperwork to my employers, etc... How aggressive do I have to be for them to get back to me? Does anyone know the date I have to get these in?

You have three years to be admitted after passing.kapital98 wrote:Does anyone know the deadline for C&F? I just sent out all the paperwork to my employers, etc... How aggressive do I have to be for them to get back to me? Does anyone know the date I have to get these in?

If you're fourth department, you're already a month late, but I believe you have about a month for 1st/2nd departments

Are you printing and mailing the paperwork to your employers with a pre-stamped envelope or did you just e-mail them a pdf copy? I kind of want to just e-mail to speed things up, but thought it may look rude?kapital98 wrote:Does anyone know the deadline for C&F? I just sent out all the paperwork to my employers, etc... I emailed so far, but have offered to go pick up the completed forms since they're all local.AJS30 wrote:Are you printing and mailing the paperwork to your employers with a pre-stamped envelope or did you just e-mail them a pdf copy? I figured most people would rather do a fillable PDF rather than hand write on something I mail.
No responses (it's only been a day) so I cannot yet fully recommend this method lol.

Thank you! I'm in state but part of the Third Department. I called their office yesterday but could only leave a message. They haven't called back yet.bport hopeful wrote:If I remember correctly, you were out of state? Re: July 2014 New York Bar Exam
I passed with a 137.5 scaled MBE. While not a "bad" MBE score, its not as high as some of the others I've seen in this thread, so will assume that my essays helped push me over the top. Having said that, I was a little shocked (although obviously thrilled) with my results. I worked full time this summer as a law clerk, while taking an online Kaplan bar review course (I finished about 75% of the course). The MBE seemed pretty difficult, although I was able to narrow things down to two choices for the more difficult problems; while only 10% of the exam, I think I did surprisingly well on the NYS specific multiple choice questions. The essays weren't necessarily bad, but there was a considerable amount of trusts problems, which is a subject that I was not all too prepared for.
Congrats to everyone who passed this go around, and best of luck to those who will retake in February!
