Passed! 335 with a 160 MBE. Foreign taker, first time, worked my butt off. The relief is very sweet. My thoughts are with those who fell just that little bit short - it takes a big heart and lots of courage to offer sincere congratulations when you are experiencing a huge disappointment. Congratulations for who passed and good luck for retakes (including me). I got terrible scores on both the essay and MBE. I used Adaptibar (did the 4 OPEs), Emanuel 1&2, Barbri Convsier, Critical Pass flashcards, and Kaplan Course. I am not sure what else I should do to pass. Any suggestions/recommendations?

Don't trust the bar review courses. AND PRACTICE REAL MBE'S! The bar questions are low-quality, poorly worded and make learning the material that much harder. Study in the way that makes you comfortable with the material. For me it was just doing practice MBE's and re-reading outlines.

I just did the math. My raw score was 23 points higher than July. The curve fucked me.

Yup, I'm orig from PA/super close to NJ and have some ties there.
Yeah $675 for the app fee, plus $25 for the offic UBE score report = bye savings.

less complicated than NY- everything is online re: character/fitness forms, and then you have to get fingerprinted somewhere in NJ, certified DMV records from the state your DL is from, law school certificate form (confirming you have a JD), authorization and release form, and thats about it.

First Attempt Passed. 169.9 MBE/342 Overall

Take Barbri, do the ENTIRE COURSE. I cannot stress that enough. People think they are doing well on a certain subject so they start focusing elsewhere and not following the set schedule. Follow the schedule and brush up on your "problem-subjects" after doing EVERYTHING the course has planned for the day (including the 2-3 hours of study for the next days materials).
