I won't open my e-mail or look at the size, I've been in a rut since I started bar prep back in 2015 and have failed twice. I gave it my all this time and lost loved ones in my life, I have big interview tomorrow within entertainment industry and I'd be too heartbroken or devastated to even go when I find out I failed a third time.

Unless... someone can confirm passing emails go out first? has anyone received failure notice yet? ....

I would open it because I am a very curious person in nature. But if you think not knowing will help your interview attitude, then open it after the interview. It is a very personal choice.

Congratulations to all those who made it. For those who didn't, believe in yourself and commit to the exam for July. As a repeater, I really believe that if you commit to this exam and put in the time and effort, the exam id doable!!

For those who have completed moral character app, how did you coordinate a notary for each affidavit? They want like ten years of employers. I've worked in many different legal positions and these employers are in different parts of California. Were people generally successful in getting the affidavits sent back notarized? Seems burdensome for some employers who may hardly remember you.

I pushed my employers hard.
I gave them 2 weeks deadline.
also, law firms usually have someone authorized to notarize.

I think the key phrase is "pass not certified."

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Please take the time to enjoy this moment for the entire week (hell celebrate the entire summer) because you all deserve it.

I've been monitoring this post the past few days and I have to say every emotion expressed in this post was exactly how I felt before the results came out. All of you are hilarious and I love how everyone was keeping each other (relatively) sane!

For those that didn't pass, please don't lose out hope! I was a retaker and passed NY in July 2016 (2nd time). My total score was 267. As you can tell by my score, I barely passed but all that matters is that I passed. I know some of you are reading this and think these are empty words but trust me when I say that anyone who can get through 3 years of law school can pass the bar exam. Sometime all it takes is approaching your bar prep in a different manner. For me, I decided to take Pieper (did Barbri the 1st time) because some acquaintances I knew who did not do well in law school (in the bottom 10%) took Pieper and passed the NY bar exam their 1st or 2nd time. I could go on with how great Pieper is (PM me if you want to know more) but I want to reiterate that the bar exam is not an insurmountable obstacle. You can and will pass the next bar exam!!!

You will CERTAINLY pass in July. 4 points is so close that you're essentially there. I know it.

If Barbri doesn't have one of those free retake policies, then I recommend Kaplan. I used them for MPRE and this bar exam. The majority of the material is really really good. I felt very prepared for the MBE portion, and fairly prepared for the MEE.

Try Emmanuel MBE book and critical pass. I used those while working full time. I feel they really helped. My MBE score was a 157, much higher than when I took it in California on barbri alone.

I didn't pass. But I was close! It's ok. Working full time with minimal study time. I'm still happy enough with my performance.
