Haha! Did Timesnewboston’s post feel like an unintelligible MBE question? Occam’s razor is the problem solving principle that when presented with competing hypothetical answers to a problem one should select the one that makes the fewest assumptions. Gobbledegook is meaningless or unintelligible by excessive use of technical terms. Basically TimesNewBoston isn’t buying Anonomous_Source’s reasoning of DC’s delays for not posting results and leaving us in the dark.

Sorry, nervous af about results and posting from mobile at work. I was sarcastically saying that the response I quoted made sense but that it wasn’t as sensational or as fun as posts about how someone has “inside info” from a mysterious Big wig contact.

That's the 'fee waiver Order' language one of us was asking about a few posts ago...i figured it doesn't make sense to issue an administrative Order when the fee waiver is already included in the application instructions. I do hope this means results are being posted tomorrow...ASMLAW wrote:Here it is:DGPHMP wrote: I just checked the committee's website and there’s an update!!!

Re: 2018 February DC Bar
It’s May 11th & if we don’t receive the results today, then our next opportunity to get results is Monday May 14th. That’s significant because for every day a person doesn’t know whether they were success, is a day that they potentially aren’t preparing for the July Exam if they are so unfortunate to have to take it again. I think they sometimes forget all that may be involved to prepare to study for the bar exam.
1. Taking off of work
2. Ordering study materials
3. Disconnecting from family, friends & other non-bar related activities
4. Completing a new bar application
By the time they re-order study materials among other things & individual may only be left with 60 days to study. While that may seem like a lot of days to some, it flies by so quickly. & the pressure to stay caught up with the study schedule of most bar prep programs is tremendous!
I’m praying that none of us have to worry about any of the above because we will all have a successful outcome, but this is definitely something to be mindful of for anyone that is repeat test taker for the DC bar.
Waiving of the late fee is a greatly appreciated gesture but what would really be nice is an additional 4 weeks of study time to put DC Bar retakers with the same advantages as people who retake the bar exam in other states.

That's true... Hoping we get to know today so that those of us who don't pass can get to it and start studying for the July bar... I just can't pick up a book and start studying right now without knowing, I can't concentrate! Re: 2018 February DC Bar
Seems to be around that time according to the posts I’ve read from February and July 2017. But who knows DC seems to do things differently every year. One thing is for sure since 2011 they’ve never released the results later than the second Friday in May. So let’s pray to God they at least stick to that and release the results today.timesnewboston wrote:They always come out between 2pm and 5pm right?

I found more between 3 and 5. Supposedly in July, it was 300. The last update of the page was 410. The last posts were after 2. Guessing 5 since then nobody can call them. Since we got no email, think we may have to wait until Monday.timesnewboston wrote:They always come out between 2pm and 5pm right?

I called about 30 minutes ago and the woman who answered said they're not coming out today. She didn't say when they would however.

I'm going to be really upset if they don't release today because Monday I go on a business trip and the last thing I want is to start crying in the middle of a conference or on a plane over the results...
