That's actually a great idea.kyle010723 wrote:Here's my "tip" for MPT if you will: Type down the factors and tests and rules as you read through the cases. So when you are coming back to actually write the memo, just cut and paste (I assume you can do this in examsoft too). Saved me some time from going back to find them again.

How much stock do you put in these Barbri MPT answers?

I think they are far more detailed than anyone's answer has ever been.cdelgado wrote:How much stock do you put in these Barbri MPT answers?

Can you actually copy and paste on the bar exam? In the aforementioned context, it would probably be permissible on a law school exam. However, being that there are handwritten exams as well, it would seemingly give those typing the test an unfair advantage.

Typing is already an advantage. I wouldn't say it's unfair. Anyone could have used a laptop.AReasonableMan wrote:Can you actually copy and paste on the bar exam? Can anyone tell me why Question 54 on the MBE refresher claims that the corporation is a resident wherever there's personal jurisdiction? Unless I'm missing something, there's clearly a proper venue where the accident occurred (Southern District of State A), so they shouldn't look to personal jurisdiction to establish venue.

For the essays I'm 50/50. Some of them my answers are nearly spot on but for others I'm like "yea okay." I think, at least with the essays, it boils down to familiarity of the topics and that can help you spot issues immediately and work through the facts. With the MPT, at least in theory, familiarity doesn't help.victortsoi wrote:feel that way about the essays too?Good Guy Gaud wrote:I think they are far more detailed than anyone's answer has ever been.cdelgado wrote:How much stock do you put in these Barbri MPT answers?

Man, I'm burnt out. Taking the rest of the night out to pretend to be in a good mood with the gf and then hopefully 8 straight days of solid study. Probably all MBE too.

Is the general consensus to take a day off before the exam?

Same. I get through about 5 hours and then fall flat. Just can't force myself to do much else, no matter how much fear or red bull I've got941law wrote:Man, I'm burnt out. Stared at a wall for about 15 minutes. Best part of my day.

Heard people cut off their review anytime from noon to 5 pm.

Everybody I've talked to said to take the day off, but I'll probably be a ball of nerves. I'm going to try to limit myself to just looking over the lean sheets for MEE subjects (day 1 of the bar in my state).Danger Zone wrote:Is the general consensus to take a day off before the exam?

Edit: Derp, I misread.
I wish the MBE were the first day. Anyone else feel like that?

The essays are going to shatter my confidence. MPT might be ok. Gonna be hard to drag myself in there for day 2.Good Guy Gaud wrote:So much thisrinkrat19 wrote:UGH, I wish our MBE day was first.

Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - July 2015 Exam
Okay so I think I ran into two Barbri questions that have opposite answers.
One says that you CAN have sanctions for failing to respond to a motion to compel, and the other says that you CAN'T and that "sanctions generally may be imposed only for violating a court order on discovery." The latter I just ran into on the CivPro Workshop, the former I ran into while doing random questions on Studysmart.
Both were questions where the party failed to attempt to contact the other party before filing a motion to compel, but the answer choice depended on whether or not sanctions could be included. There was never a court order to be violated in either case.
What's the actual rule?
