Apparently there is a way to take the oath out of state, but they won't tell us how until after May 4. That's what my processor told me.

Every state is different, but usually you need to petition to your state supreme court first. The supreme court then will confer the jurisdiction to that out of state judge or person, then you can take oath with that judge or person.

Is this a long drawn out process? Would I be better served just flying out and attending the ceremony?

You really need to talk to your state admission committee to find out. Every state is a little different, in some states you don't need to petition to the supreme court first.

Yup the whole thing is like an hour but the actual ceremony is about 30 minutes
