Re: MA Essays
I totally agree with you guys on the civ pro essay...it seemed too easy. Smj, pj and venue...that was it.

Re: MA Essays
I was psyched about the commercial paper and secured transactions question...I felt really great about that one (I had looked at the prior Feb topics and there was always a commercial paper and/or secured transactions question so I made sure to bone up on the stuff) and the first question. I remember there were so many issues with the first question - I think I spend 45 minutes on it because I kept adding stuff. Did any of you talk about par value in the corp question? I really can't remember any more of them...other than I was caught off guard by all of the memos. I think I've blocked the questions out of my memory.

Yay you found the thread!!
I'm not sure if I mentioned par value. If I did, it would have been for a little bit. I talked about derivative suit and more, but it's so long ago, it seems. Did you keep the questions with you?

Re: MA Essays
I did, but they are packed away! LOL I knew if I didn't do that, I would obsess about them. I definitely mentioned derivative suit...and I'm pretty sure I just threw the words "par value" in and tried to make it seem like I knew what I was talking about. haha My corporations prof was a complete joke so I didn't take much from that class and tried to learn it for bar prep...ReachTheBar79 wrote:kamitchell17 wrote:I was psyched about the commercial paper and secured transactions question...I felt really great about that one (I had looked at the prior Feb topics and there was always a commercial paper and/or secured transactions question so I made sure to bone up on the stuff) and the first question. Re: MA Essays
Glansberg88- My favorite essay was the UCC one. I thought the first half was easier and the 2nd half was all over the place. For the Federal Civ Pro I believe I discussed SPV and I think I put something else but cant really remember what I put. I wrote 93A actions on all but a few.
As far as the MBE on the morning section I had a lot of B's and D's and on the afternoon section tons of A's and C's.. I had a lot of string choices on both section. In the afternoon I had a string of C's and once I counted there were 8 total. So I am very nervous.
If the passers had something similar then I think it will help with the nervousness that probably most of us have, well if they did anyway, if they didn't.....YIKES!!!

I agree that next week is it. My friends that graduated early (December 2014) received letters on Friday, April 24, 2015. If they are keeping on the same schedule that means we should receive results a week from this Friday (April 22).

Any confidence I had after leaving the bar in Feb has completely dissipated...I swear I have a mini panic attack at least once a day. This is brutal.

I also agree...I think we will find out this weekend. For the July results, I received them on Saturday (I also live out of state). I just hope it's good news this time! I keep having nightmares where I open the envelope and it says "we regret to inform you..." They're so realistic! My husband gave me an awesome pep talk this weekend so I'm just trying to stay positive. My kids keep telling me I did it. I hope they are right and that we all passed!waiting06 wrote:I agree with you. I live out of state though so I wont know until they post..smhReachTheBar79 wrote:Let's make guesses! First time MA taker here! I have heard they return your essays if you fail--do the essays come with the letter? Is it skinny packet- pass, thick packet-fail? I'm mentally preparing myself to know the results by the size of the letter--is this so??
Good luck everyone!!!

Re: MA Essays
That is ALL false. You will receive a regular size envelope pass or fail. In the past, the fail letters have a yellow sheet with information that tells you about retaking the test. The only way to get your essays back is to request and pay for them to be sent to you, which is a complete waste of money and time.PishPosh wrote:First time MA taker here! Re: MA Essays
Hahaha waiting06 is correct. Unless you plan on sending your essays to another source to get feedback, don't pay the $25 to get them. Your results will tell you what you scored on each essay. When you send away for yours answers - that's what you get. Just what you typed - NO feedback on them at all.waiting06 wrote:That is ALL false. You will receive a regular size envelope pass or fail.
