I only have a few hours a day during the week to study. I also am thinking of taking the MLER workshop at Northwestern and possibly purchasing adaptibar.

Whats the best way to utilize my few hours with what I have?

Much appreciated.
Read the Themis books and purchase adaptibar to practice MBE topics.

What is the deal with MEE questions? I just finished the Barbri wills lecture and concluded that it is almost always different in Illinois. Which rule do we apply? As much as I'd love to state both, it seems impossible to do this without exceeding the character count. I also don't know which one they'd actually want us to say governs.

(On a related note, just got my first graded essay back from Barbri and they kept adding stuff in which I would have included but then I would exceed the character count. Is the character count not real, or is Barbri just unrealistic?)

Isn't the character count like 4500?

4,600. But unless I misunderstood and it's 4,600 per subpart of each question (rather than for the entire question), it's really hard to stay within the limit. Unless the Barbri grader told me to include a bunch of stuff that I didn't actually need to include.

I don't know. I am not having any problem staying under the 4600 limit. Both of my Themis graded essays were completed with about 1000 characters to spare

Hm. Maybe it's a discrepancy in the grading systems by Barbri and Themis? For example, the Barbri model answers far exceed the character count. To confirm, it's 4,600 characters for the entire question (rather than each subpart), right?

Entire question. Also I meant that my personal essays were not hitting the limit. I didn't test the sample essays

Does anybody know where we might be able to find practice iee questions? When I failed in feb they specifically told us we could leave with the iee question pamphlets, which is why I am a little perplexed it is so hard to find prior iee questions anywhere. Any ideas?

Also, this is the best hotel for the price I've found that is within walking distance of the testing center.

Hoping for a quick response from examsoft. I'm a nervous that my laptop won't be compatible. It is a convertible laptop, Lenovo Yoga Pro 2. Anyone have any insight on this?

My processor is pretty responsive. I asked over the weekend if she had everything necessary in order for me to get my seat assignment and she replied first thing Monday morning. Also, she said seat assignments come out two weeks before the test

Thanks Criminal Theory for the IEE info. I will check these out and see if there is any rhyme or reason to the subjects they test.

How are you guys strategizing when it comes to allocating your studying time? Going to try and knock MBE out of the park? Or focus on the essays?

I'm so glad this wasn't just me! I did the Taxation Essay question (mostly just outlined it) and did better with it than I imagined, but thanks in no way to the lecture ... common sense from TurboTax and CMR motivated my shorthand.

Contracts is also really killing me. I'm scoring miserably low, like around 50% and apparently in like the 10th percentile. Does anyone have any good extra lectures or resources for this?

Hey -- would anyone be kind enough to save a PDF of Barbri's topic frequency chart and email/pm it to me?

I'm self-studying and can't seem to find my chart from last time around.

Thanks!

Anyone have the scoring breakdown? Is it 50% MBE, 40% essays, 10% MPT? How are they each weighted?
