My social media is still pretty quiet.
Yeah, and I suppose you also have to factor in the idea that most TLS posters are probably going to be above-average law students in the first place. It seems silly to separate out the pass/fail letters by day. Sounds like a crackpot conspiracy theory. If you're reading this and care enough to keep up with results like this, some of that probably carried over to the exam too. You probably passed ... along with everyone else reading this, or close to it.
I remember browsing through threads last year, and it seemed like just about everyone that posts on here ended up passing.

Haven't received my letter yet.
I do know that earlier last week my past employer received a notice asking about my character and fitness (I think). Is that a good sign? Does this mean that I'm still in the game? I mean, why would they care if I fail the bar? They wouldn't be making such inquiries then, right?

From everything credible I've heard, they don't send out pass letters on one day and failing letters on another. Don't read into it. You're definitely in the game.

That's irrelevant. Your bar admission still has a job to do and the people doing c&f aren't aware of your test scores (assuming I read your post correctly) as they do their job.

Congrats to everyone getting good news!
I know exact MBE scores aren't reported, but if those posting could mention just generally how they felt on the MBE, I think many of us waiting still would really appreciate the insight.

Or if you took Barbri how you did on practice MBE

I am very curious about this as well - I got a 98/200 on the practice MBE and thought the MBE was crazy hard, so I would like to know how people did relative to that.

I didn't pass.
Admittedly, I did not put the work into this like I did the SC bar last summer, and I had strep throat during the NC bar, but I'm still disappointed. I'll likely order my scores and see where I struggled. Not sure if I'll go for it again. I'll give myself time to process this failure.
Congrats to all who passed.

I got a 118/200 on the Barbri full-day simulated MBE - which was something like 52% of all takers. I was generally around 65% (some topics much higher, some topics lower) on the practice sets. I left the MBE feeling okay about it and thinking it was easier than Barbri questions, until I got on here and read other people's comments about how impossible the MBE was. Most of the people making those comments, though, were getting much higher percentages of the Barbri questions right than I was. So, I think I was so used to not knowing some of the answers that I didn't have that "aw crap" feeling after the MBE that others did.

I'm sorry to hear that, but don't give up completely! You've both put way too much time into it to throw it all away now. I have a friend who took 3 times to pass the Florida bar. The first time, she didn't really study and never signed up for a bar review course, thinking she could do it on her own. The second time, she was in the middle of a divorce and was too emotionally wrecked to perform well. The third time, she finally nailed it. I think ordering your scores is a great idea so you know what area to focus on for February. Do they charge you to get a copy of your score report?

It's $50, but I do want to see where I struggled. I never do any MBE prep at all this go around either.
Additionally, I did not do a prep course. I did use a friend's NC books through Kaplan, the company I used to pass the SC bar last July. But again, I did not put the full 8-10 hours a day into studying because I was working this summer and of course did not a year ago.
I was looking to get licensed in NC to expand my jurisdiction. The practice questions I received from February 2014 were so much easier that I guess I let my guard down. The bar I took was far more difficult than I expected.

You all have to pay for the score breakdown? That's silly.
Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you this time. This was a pretty difficult bar exam. Keep your head up -- I'm sure you'll make the best decision for you moving forward.

Have any NC folks who passed received their license in the mail yet? All this hurry up and wait stuff is getting old (graduate, wait for the bar exam, take the bar exam, wait for results, get the results, wait for the license, get the license, wait to be sworn in....) Ay yi yi.

Called my analyst two days ago to ask about licenses. She advised that they've ordered them, and they are waiting to receive them. Once they have the licenses, they place the official seal on them and then ship them out to us. Could be a week or two, I suppose.

A little late, but I passed here in NC.
I felt like morning MBE was much harder than afternoon MBE. I made up the law on a few of the NC essay questions. For the month leading up to results I was confident I passed, but not confident I passed by much.
Now about that license...
