Checked in to a hotel across the street from where they hold the exam. Receptionist said "Good luck on your exam tomorrow!" Freaked me out. I still have a day, damn it.

Re: Bar Exam Tomorrow
Im from Pittsburgh (currently in Philly now for bar + job). But when we went to the annual UVA softball tourney this year, some southerners were referring to our PittLaw softball team as "city slickers." If you know Pittsburgh at all, you realize the humor. I had a good laugh at that for the duration of that game.robinhoodOO wrote:brotherdarkness wrote:After I fail the CA Bar, I figure I should start scrambling to find a new job before my firm pushes me out. Damn fine state. 3 hours after my high school graduation ceremony, I road tripped from the Midwest to Charleston with a buddy for shits and giggles. First time anyone called me a Yankee :/

Non lawyers won't understand, but I bet other professionals like Nurses look at us and wonder why don't get them too to be fair.

Where did you hear that it's easy? I hope so. The pass rate is ~70-75 and you have to pass each section independently (and the MBE is 1/7th of the exam, so you can't auto pass w a high score)robinhoodOO wrote:Ya, I checked the SC State Bar's site, they take MBE's last (so Wed) after 2 days of essays. Re: Bar Exam Tomorrow
I checked their overall passrate for ABA takers and it looked like it was 80+%. I guess it's not among the easiest, but middle of the packmr.hands wrote:Where did you hear that it's easy? I hope so. Re: Bar Exam Tomorrow
I don't think anyone ever memorizes it all, but if you are smart enough to know you don't know it all.....that's a good place to be mentally. I say this since the cocky "I know everything" people tend to be world class idiots once tested on whatever the issue may be.
Statistically speaking as long as you went to an ABA law school and weren't in the bottom half of your class, you will pass (even in the "hard" states) You got this.

Re: Bar Exam Tomorrow
Can anyone provide me with some peace of mind: on one of my PTs I left some lines of scratch/outline work at the top of my answer. The material was separated from my core "document" answer by a line of dashes (and the document header).
Is that a case where I might lose significant points for not editing the scratchwork out in time?

Some states are weird. Louisiana isn't MBE and tests Monday, Wednesday and Friday ...robinhoodOO wrote:Ya, I checked the SC State Bar's site, they take MBE's last (so Wed) after 2 days of essays.
