well shit looks like they did.crysmissmichelle wrote:Did Virginia just seriously change its entire website?
To echo the poster above though, try to take it easy. I feel you though, I'm trying so hard to preoccupy myself with other, more productive stuff in my life than to worry about something that's out of my hands. I'm dying to know as well.

Haha. Don't worry, doing a lot better for the last few days, I'll be zen until Thursday. I was just setting the favorite for my husband's computer...and noticed the change. It looks totally different!

Re: Virginia Bar Exam 14
Though I'm notorious for not taking my own advice. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be spazzing out this week. Especially on Thursday. And then on Friday....fuck.....
For me, it's more so that I keep thinking I failed and knowing myself, my gut instincts have tended to be correct in the past. I'm just getting a sneaking suspicion that I didn't make it and it's going to devastate me no matter how much I tell myself it won't define me. That reality hitting is going to be something else. Why do I keep thinking negative...

Re: Virginia Bar Exam 14
My turning point was a nightmare where I failed and came to the realization that there is absolutely nothing I can do about it one way or another. That test has been over for months, I did the best I could and can't change anything now. I'm still grumpy, lol, but it's going to be over soon.
I suspect I won't sleep at all the night before!

Re: Virginia Bar Exam 14
In case anyone is interested, I checked my email and it looks like the results were issued at 2.52 pm last year. Not that I think that the results will be out at the exact same time, rather that, at least for last year, the results did go out during the business day rather than making folk wait into the evening.

I'm still telling myself not to check results at work on the 17th. I know I would rather be at home, with my husband, If I find out that I failed. On the other hand, if I passed, I would rather know asap.
*sigh.. either way it'll be miserable during work.
The statistics and difficult MBE for the other states, is really freaking me out.

There is no way I could wait to look after leaving work. . . I've scheduled myself to leave early that day, partially in case of embarrassment. . .in_fear wrote:I'm still telling myself not to check results at work on the 17th. As an aside, a colleague tells me that historically, Virginia has released the day before the date they schedule. . . last year was the first break from that tradition, he says.
So, that leaves me refreshing for two days straight, haha.

I have no choice. I work in an office full of high-achievers. . .if I fail, I'm not sure how I'll be able to walk into the office again, at all. . . no way I could stay after that for the rest of the day.
No pressure here. . .

So just to be clear, VA posts publicly on the internet by full name of only those who passed, correct?
I'm just wondering if I need to remember our 4 or 5 digit code we received on test day.

Yes, it's by name, not applicant number.lsatextreme wrote:So just to be clear, VA posts publicly on the internet by full name of only those who passed, correct?

There are also two pass lists, one is passed and licensed as of publication, the other is passed the exam but has outstanding issues (Character and Fitness, MPRE scores, etc. . . ).Puttanesca wrote:Yes, it's by name, not applicant number.lsatextreme wrote:So just to be clear, VA posts publicly on the internet by full name of only those who passed, correct?

Re: Virginia Bar Exam 14
I received the VA CLE flyer today in the mail its for "Backpack to Briefcase" New Virginia Lawyer 2014 program.
Does anyone else feel like VA is just really cruel?
It's bringing my hopes up, but I know that the reality is that these are probably just mass mailings without any implications of bar passage/failures.
Anyone else get this???

Re: Virginia Bar Exam 14
I did a google search, a past forum on all4jds has a long discussion about the same flyer. Apparently the CLE flyer goes to every VA bar exam taker. Some people got theirs late, some didn't get it at all (VA CLE blames it on erroneous addresses/US postal mistake)
People who failed got one, people who passed got one… some people didn't get one at all.
Regardless, its cruel.

I found the "VA law schools model answers" on the W&M website and felt better about my chances after reviewing them.

Looks like other years (2009-2012) have released the Wednesday or Thursday after Columbus Day (with Anticipated dates being that Friday). Between the hours of 11:00am - 4:00pm.
The exception seems to be last year when they released Thursday Oct. 31st (Anticipated date).
Starting to freak out.
More so now than yesterday.

I feel like shit right now. I've waiting okay for 2.5 months and I'm pretty much dying on the last few days. I just keep wishing I studied harder now...

I basically only studied the bar for a month. I used Themis and was not disciplined at all about the self study. If I don't make it, I have no one to blame but myself.crysmissmichelle wrote:I wish you good luck! What was your study like?lsatextreme wrote:I feel like shit right now.
