So, close, they should just pass you based on the second read.

Yeah, if you get lucky with the readers you pass. If you get unlucky, you get your score averaged. Shouldn't people who barely get over 1440 also get a second read if they're so intent on failing people?

Uh Oh, maybe you better keep quiet on that idea. Don't give them any ideas to fail more people.

They used to do it that way. I think if you got a 1464 or less they'd put you in a re read. But they changed it to where a 1440 on the first read is a pass

Based on past conversions your raw MBEs were probably in the 125-127 range. Whereas at 130 you would have probably been OK

It is. I'm really sorry. With those scores you would have passed CA last Feb and possibly last July. The randomness....

Please give me a genuine opinion if I should give it another try. I failed the first try for july 2014.

Essay 1: 65
Essay 2: 60
Essay 3: 55
Essay 4: 55
Essay 5: 55
Essay 6: 55

PT 1: 60
PT 2: 70

Raw written: 605
Scaled written 1411
Scaled MBE 1345

I felt horrible about Essay 3 as I missed 10b5, prof resp issues, etc. But I thought I did okay for Essay 5 trust/cp. I cannot believe that I got same 55 for both. Others, I cannot even remember. Ugh. Not sure if I should do it again with these low scores.

I am a late starter in late forties with a family. I had some job offers before I got the results but I cannot go now. One of the offers is DA's office and they gave me one year to pass. I do have job experiences from hi-tech field. I was top 3% in my class and I am very depressed about my result and not sure whether I have room to grow.

Sorry :(
I mean if you have a job offer contingent upon retaking it, and you want to take that job... I would personally retake it.

I received a scaled MBE of 1406.0. Can someone help me figure out how many questions out of 190 I got correct? Thanks!

Since you live in california and have job offers contingent upon passing the bar exam, I think you should give it another try.

if the scaling is consistent with previous years probably a 124 raw. This chart is from 2011 and previously, California took your MBE scale score and multiplied it by 10 to get your California Scaled mbe score

I am wrong. The DC court waived it for this sitting. I do not really know how it works. But if you get a 133 on the essays on the DC bar exam you will pass.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
