Oh weird, I had no idea they gave us different ones! Mine was on implied warranties of fitness or suitability (which I forgot was even a topic) / mortgages / and deeds. It was so bad lolLawworld19 wrote:Mine was on landlord tenant law. No grade yet.
Mine was Joint Tenancies with Right of Survivorship and a Restraint on AlienationMoonSugar wrote:Oh weird, I had no idea they gave us different ones! I had the same one! I thought I did okay until I saw the sample answer lol ... definitely felt like there was stuff I don't remember being covered (unless it was buried in that massive 90 page outline...)MoonSugar wrote:Oh weird, I had no idea they gave us different ones! Haha yes. I had the same essay. Got a 4 on the contracts essay and then got a .7 (rounded to a 1) on this property one. I just couldn’t spot the right issues for the first sub-question that was about contracts and the fact that the last question turned on the type of deed. Oh well. It stops me from getting cocky I suppose.MoonSugar wrote:Oh weird, I had no idea they gave us different ones! Dude, same here. I feel like it's a mix of both. I also dropped 15% on my last contract set and I didn't think those questions were particularly difficult so I'm just taking this as a sign to spend my afternoon flashcarding.CBlaw wrote:Did anyone else get completely wrecked on the last property question set (set 6)? Have been feeling good for MC up until this. Dont know if I just have already forgotten the rules or this question set was just harder
I'm doing it with open book. Still don't have everything memorized.Ohnt wrote:Are we supposed to do the essays without looking anywhere? I did my first one on contracts yesterday under exam conditions: timed and no reference but was wondering. Please help!

I'm doing mine very limited open book (i.e. printing out Ide-Don's essay workshop handout and only glancing at the headings to make sure I don't miss anything).barprep2018 wrote:I'm doing it with open book. same hustle: hubs, toddler, pregnant and throwing up like crazy, moving to a new house in two weeks plus so much more going on. I feel you. We have thrice the struggle.barprep2018 wrote:I'm taking TX. I cannot read the outlines, I don't have the time for that.Lawworld19 wrote:Above poster what bar exam? And have you gotten thru all the lectures?
Federal job, kids, husband, house and bar. I'm dying.
You can do it whenever. It says in the message that you should put it off until you've done all the readings and lectures for Contracts/Property/Torts.MoonSugar wrote:Does anyone know if we are able to do the practice exam late or is it only tomorrow? I assume it's okay to do it late (I still have to work on torts) since graded essays can be late, but I wanted to check.
Thank you! I think I skimmed the message when it was sent but forgot about it. That is really helpful!White Dwarf wrote:You can do it whenever. Nope. I also don't think they actually grade the essays and just give you a barely failing grade to motivate you to study harder.aclang24 wrote:Out of curiosity, do anyone know if we lose points on the graded essays if we go over the time limit?
What's considered "barely failing?" I got 17% on my property essay, even worse than contracts. But in then some of the comments say that I'm making the right arguments, and at the end they say "Your response was great, but be cognizant of how you go on time limits." I'm not sure if the particular person grading my essay decided to ding me points for going over the time limit, or if there was an error at some point, or if I just completely bombed. But if I got literally everything wrong to warrant such a low score, they need to make that clearer in the comments, rather than telling me I made "great" arguments.dabigchina wrote:Nope.
