Retaker here, I am, but in the comfort of my own home instead of a lecture site.

Any other retakers doing it? I question whether I can get an accurate score after having been exposed to the questions already. Some of my scores on the barbri sets seem like they are inflated because they aren't 'new' to me. Wondering if I should take a full-length NCBEX or Adaptibar exam in its place.
I've taken a couple of Adaptibar exams already, so I recommend it. I imagine Barbri uses new questions for this MBE, however.

I'm going to take it because it actually was pretty accurate in predicting my MBE score in July, when they said add 20ish points to your raw score.

Very true... I think I got a 109 this summer and ended up walking out with a 126, so it seems to be a pretty decent representation. Hoping to do way better than 109 this time around though.

It's the same exam that was given in the summer.

I'm sure I will remember some questions but I think it will be good practice either way. I'm still going to go through the OPE's on Adaptibar (starting next week) so it's not like it is the only practice test I will take. Timing was a huge issue for me in the summer, so if anything, this will allow me to practice that.

I agree that it's a good call to take Barbri's MBE regardless.

Didn't know the questions were the same. But, I think enough time has passed so that I probably won't remember any of them.

I am taking the just the MBE, as I have passed the essay section of the Kentucky Bar. For those of you who have already passed, what was your percentage correct on your MBE practice questions? Thank you.

Do you all frequently read/consult the long state-specifc outlines? I've been using the mini-review to study and I'm not sure if I should spend the time at this point to go back and read all of the bigger outlines to maybe get a clearer picture.

I passed Tennessee in July, and although they don't release scores for the real thing I was typically getting about 130ish raw on the full length BARBRI practice exams. Did not take any other practice exams.

Doing it as well - at lecture site. As a re-taker, I plan to do another full-exam with real questions from Emanuel's Strategies and Tactics for a couple of reasons: (1) exposure to real questions - perhaps even a confidence boost after BarBri's Q's? (2) the reason you note re: possibility of inflation due to prior exposure to BarBri's Q's - although I must admit that while I may sometimes recall the fact patterns in the questions, I don't necessarily get those correct every time because I've successfully forgotten stuff between July and November. So I do think there's value to redoing it tomorrow.

Maybe it's just me or maybe I decided to wipe everything from my head after July, but I remember very few questions, let alone the answer to them.

For those who memorize by doing their own outlines, how are you paring them down? I outlined the CMR for each subject instead of listening to the lecture, and its helped me so far but I now want to try to get to a point that I can shorten them and have most of it memorized. My Con law outline is 16 pages and I'm just kind of overwhelmed.

Do you know where to find a somewhat comprehensive list of the frequency of TN essay topics? I'm trying to predict February's most likely topics.

I'm not sure where such a list might be, but I'd bet a good amount of money on a contracts and a business organization essay question since they weren't asked last time.

Yea, I think Bus Orgs and Contracts will almost definitely be tested. Same with Professional Responsibility and probably Wills & Estates.

California bar takers, I was hoping you could help me with CA evidence question about Prop 8.

Prop 8 does not apply to:
-Exclusionary rules such as the Confrontation Clause
-Hearsay law
-Privilege law
-Limits on character evidence to prove D’s or V’s conduct
-The Secondary Evidence Rule (aka Best Evidence Rule)
-Court’s power to exclude if unfair prejudice substantially outweighs probative value.

So, what exactly does Prop 8 apply to? ( aside from some minor things like allowing misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude and non-conviction misconduct bearing on truthfulness, in criminal cases?)

I'm in my lunch break for the MBE, so I've done 100. So far I've only come across 1 question that I remember from July. Because it was a bitch of a question.

That's kind of what I figured... Did anyone from NY do the mixed set of 50 that was assigned last night? Got 43, but missed a few gimmes that I wish I had read more carefully. Taking tonight off completely, going to see a hockey game, and then tomorrow I'll tackle this full day beast lol

Which mixed set? I wasn't assigned any mixed set last night, but I randomly decided to do mixed set #2 the other day and got a 36/50. 43 is really good. If you can get that on game day, you are gonna be chillin' with a 170+ 8)

Just completed the simulated MBE. Got a 135/200. In July, I got 101/200.

I'm feeling a bit better this time.

Also just graded my simulated MBE. 130/200. Didn't do Barbri in the summer but I think I got 60% in the summer, or maybe even lower, so this is definitely a jump. Most subjects 69% or better, but 49% on property. God damn o_O

Also did the mixed MBE questions and had 41/50.

129/200 for me today. 91/200 over the summer.

Pretty happy. I think we will be fine in a few weeks.
