So funny that so many people named Lawyer passed the bar exam. I have to imagine that a bar examiner reading an application from someone named "Lawyer" is more inclined to pass them. It's psychological stuff.
Do they see applicants' names or just randomized #s?
I was just kidding; dtl linked a list to the white pages of people with the last name "Lawyer." I don't think they see names, just application numbers.
Unless you were also trolling. In which case, of course they see names. They have quotas for how many licensed lawyers can have a particular last name.
I can't put together coherent sentences/witty replies right now lol
I actually was not trolling and felt slight anxiety for a second that they do see our names and might have some weird bias somehow. Brain not working today.

i didn't....not sure why I got it. I did try logging on just to see if the "requirements" section changed with regards to "Passing the CA bar", but it still said requirement not satisfied. Maybe that triggered it? I agree that others in the past would have said something, so likely nothing
The "requirements" thing only refreshes once a day, around 11-11:30pm. If you passed, it will show "requirement satisfied" around that time tonight.

Did you know your number when logging in, or did you forget it and they emailed it to you?

Guys, just an hour to go. I know this because I just met with the state bar. That's why I was so busy.

Is this email thing real or nah? I didn't get anything...but I've never heard of anyone getting a reminder email from the CA bar. I also noticed that the people posting about this mysterious email have a pretty low post count...

I don't think it's worth worrying about, definitely piqued my curiosity though.

My theory is that people who hadn't previously requested their applicant numbers received it. So...unless there is someone here who never asked for their applicant number but did not receive an e-mail, or someone who asked for it, but still received the email...that's what I'm sticking with.

It's like that scene in Terminator 2 where the guy holding the bomb trigger breathes faster and faster and then everything ends in an explosion.

As long as we are all suffering together, let's ask this question: which is worse?
1) Having everyone tell you "of course you will pass" while freaking out that you won't
2) Watching the deadline count down...day by day....hour by hour...

2). 6 pm inching closer and closer, the relentless march of time, enough time to have your mind racing with all the infinite possibilities that could ever be. Fun

I'm at work right now and took the CBX July Bar in Pasadena. I'm getting flashbacks from the days of the bar and things are not settling well. I have a job as an Immigration Associate and worst case scenario can get licensed in another state to continue practicing in this office. But I really want the CA bar to have more opportunities living in LA. Worse yet, all the other associates tell me I'll pass. :/ Monday morning could be a high or a low.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
