Are you sure about getting an email if you only took half the exam? I called last week to ask that question and the guy said “all passing names will be on the list”. But that’s all I got. Then hung up.
I am about 95 percent sure because I asked one of the head committee members right as I left the exam after essay day. Could they have amended their stance since then? Sure.
If you were unsuccessful you will get an email.

So an email is a bad thing unless you're retaking the exam? Does this email come simultaneously with the release of the results or after?

You won’t get your score breakdown until a couple of weeks after the results are posted. And for the July exam, the results were published on the site first-you likely will not get an email telling you if you passed before that.
This seems to indicate you get an email pass or fail, at least that is how I read it. Some people are saying you only get an email if you fail. My guess is Friday is the day we get results.

Personal experience. I sat for the July exam. I passed the mbe. I did not pass the Mee. Two days before the results came out everyone received an email telling us the results would be out two days later and to not reply and ask them any questions. The day the results came out my name was not on the list. I received an email the following Monday. The email didn't not have a full score breakdown but rather my mee score and my mbe score. To receive a full score breakdown the email required me to request it.

I wonder if the DC bar will post the names of ALL the people who pass -- even the ones who only took one portion of the exam.

We’ve already discussed this above.

These are probably all anxiety dreams. The night before Virginia came out I had two dreams: one that my husband failed and the second that I saw his name on the pass list. He ended up passing, but it’s all due to anxiety.

Yep. Saturday night, had a dream where I saw my score report. Combined was a 280. I was distraught to realize
it was a dream in the morning.

You should call for an update. I called last week so someone else should take a turn.

I know they say "not to call" but I have already called once with no shame.
I really hope someone suggest to them in the future to either give a date for when results will come out or provide better clarification with the process (i.e - you will get an email with the date a few days prior, you will get an email when results are published, you will get an email with a link to the pass list and your scores will be sent at a later time etc) SOMETHING! This little sliver of information would really limit the number of calls they received, and in turn they could focus more on grading.
Instead they make it all mysterious, take longer to grade than states with wayyyy more takers, and then get upset when you call to get information about when results will come out.
They make this harder on themselves and us for no reason. They just need a better process!

I was looking at DC administrative orders from last year and on May 2, 2017 they approved an order to waive late fees for those that didn’t pass the February 2017 bar exam. The results were released on May 12,2017—10 days after the order to waive late fees was approved. If an order is approved this week to waive late fees I hope we don’t have to wait until next week to get the results.

That order is still in effect, there shouldn't be a reason to waive late fees again... The results should be here on the 11th...i believe that.

Each order is specific for that exam administration. So no the order waiving late fees for February 2017 isn’t in effect and a new order needs to be issued for the February 2018 exam.

Please read the application instructions properly
"Unsuccessful applicants from the February 2018 bar exam will be given separate instructions on how to apply for the July exam with no late fee assessed after February results are released. This provision applies to February 2018 exam applicants only. "
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
