I haven't started yet, but I plan on making a fairly minimal outline at least for each MBE topic, combining the conviser, the lecture handouts, and maybe a few non barbri sources.
You should do lectures at 1.5-2x speed krose.

Yeah agreed, just get them done quick to get the blanks and then start learning the material from there.sublime wrote:I haven't started yet, but I plan on making a fairly minimal outline at least for each MBE topic, combining the conviser, the lecture handouts, and maybe a few non barbri sources.

Thank Sublime. I do this sometimes, but find that I have to then rewind or pause a lot to have time to jot down everything that they said. Especially had to rewind a lot with the guy who did the conflicts lecture. He sped right through it (which was fine) but then expected us to write whole paragraphs when he only repeated them once -___- But I definitely fast forwarded and MUTED a lot of the property lectures. I'm sorry, but I really couldn't stand that woman x___xsublime wrote:I haven't started yet, but I plan on making a fairly minimal outline at least for each MBE topic, combining the conviser, the lecture handouts, and maybe a few non barbri sources.

One tip that people might find handy. I copy some of the notes straight from the lecture handouts on to my outlines. I use a website to "unlock" the PDF version of the lecture handouts, and then I'm able to copy it straight from the PDF to my word document

Critical Pass flashcards for me. I add notes from Lecture handouts, missed MBE questions and the CMR onto them in the space provided. These will work great in the last two weeks rather than making my own outlines.

After using critical pass cards, I decided not to outline anymore. It's condensed to the bare minimum and its imperative that you understand and can recall everything in critical pass cards before you can move on to more stuff.
HOWEVER, if anyone here has outlined the different deadlines for civ pro (e.g. RJMOL 28 days), preferably in chronological order divided in pre-trial trial and post trial sections PLEASE SHARE IT WITH US.

So you are generally happy wit the CP cards yes? Also, I think the CP cards actually cover more than the bare minimum. It will usually note exceptions, common MBE tricks, etc. But I won't go as far as to say it covers EVERYTHING.mvp99 wrote:After using critical pass cards, I decided not to outline anymore. Yea, I think I will use the CP cards when I outline.
The act of organizing and rewriting is helpful to me.

I guess after spending so much money on Barbri, I hate the idea of spending another $130 for the cards. If I buy them, would you say I can use them instead of outlines? I mean, are they condensed like the lecture handouts? If I can use them instead of outlines, I might just bite the bullet

I just want to add for those who may be wondering or curious about Critical pass cards, these cards have helped me IMMENSELY with Evidence. Just pulling out the 6-7 impeachment cards and flipping through them almost like a flip book has really solidified my memorization.

They are essentially (almost verbatim) the CMR and lecture handouts in flashcard form.KRose04 wrote:I guess after spending so much money on Barbri, I hate the idea of spending another $130 for the cards. There are a few $20 off codes floating around, and there are samples on their site. I also think they have samples on their app for free.

I just assumed I would do it at home. Online only too.

Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - July 2016 (UBE -NY)
Yep, I'm just planning on doing it at home too. Should be fine.
The Simulated MBE is a full-day, 200-question, Simulated Multistate Bar Exam (MBE) that should be taken under exam conditions in class. Following the test there are two full days’ worth of analysis available, presented by BARBRI MBE experts.
You can input your answers in your online Personal Study Plan on BARBRI.com for immediate feedback and grading. Alternatively, you can use registered mail to send the scantron sheet to BARBRI Computer Testing Center, 200 W. Adams, Suite 250, Chicago, IL 60606 for delivery by July 18, 2016. All scantrons must be received by July 18 or they will not be graded.
Once you input your answers in your online Personal Study Plan on BARBRI.com or we receive your scantron, we will run it through a scoring computer and you will receive a score report on the 'My Progress' page comparing your performance to every other BARBRI student in the United States. Your score report will also provide detailed information on how you are performing on every topic and subtopic.

Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - July 2016 (UBE -NY)
Critical pass cards 62-63, page 70 of the handout, and a question in the diagnostics test online seem to have different requirements for issue preclusion. Handout and card 62 says its a requirement that it was "actually litigated" and card 63 and online state "a full chance to litigate" or "fair opportunity to be heard." ??

I was contemplating not going to the simulated MBE either. I'm only signed up for the online course as well. I emailed Barbri and they said I "can" go to a location, but that "there is no guarantee for a spot," so I'm wondering if it's even worth it

I'm going to call tomorrow and see if I can reserve a spot. If I can't then I'll just show up 30 mins before it starts.KRose04 wrote:I was contemplating not going to the simulated MBE either. I find it pretty insulting really. It's not like I didn't pay thousands of dollars for this course anyway, and I can't even participate in this simulation that they keep sending me emails about to tell me how great it is

We're at 49% and I've completed 43%. I don't plan on doing every MPT but I do plan on at the very least outlining every essay question.KRose04 wrote:how's everyone doing with their on their "completion progress report"?
For anyone too lazy to outline MEE topics this website has a few available for free https://www.efficientbarprep.com/

I dunno, I've marked every assignment as complete so I'm at 49% or whatever but I haven't written any essays/MPTs besides the graded ones.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
