slavetothebar wrote:That's great news! They have known for several weeks what the results are - so if they are keeping your interview scheduled - it is likely a good sign. My interview was scheduled for September 16th (or a day or two later?!?) and they called the day before and cancelled it with no rescheduling. I failed the July bar. They did not reschedule until after I had applied for the Feb bar.

Side note: would the results say "pass but not cleared" or what happens in a case like mine?
You just made my day if this is true. I've been a wreck all week with the rescheduling.

It doesn't post to your NCBEX page.
You get an email to let you know to return to your IBAB page - and then a link to get your letter which either says you passed - or you failed. If it starts with "We regret" you failed. If it starts with "Congratulations" you passed.
If you failed then you will get a "score" sheet a couple days from now with your scores on the MBE and each individual essay - along with the multipliers for the essays.

I figured it would be an IBAB correspondence under the "Admission Documents" section. That's where I've received the most important info (admission ticket, c&f clearance, etc.)
You are correct - that is exactly where it will be.

Does anyone know what the results say if you passed, but are not yet cleared? Does it also tell you that? I'm only seeing pass/fail. Sorry if this is obvious.

Just to be 100% clear, the letter I received in early August that said, "We are pleased to advise that your application has been recommended for certification by the Committee on Character and Fitness" means I am done with c&f? I have never been contacted about an interview

Before the results come out...
Breathe! Most of you are going to pass the bar.
For those of you who do not - keep this in mind - everything is curved. You aren't dumb - or incapable - you just - on those two days - fell below the threshold. You can take the bar again - get the exact same scores, and pass. Failing does not make you less of a person than someone who scored a 266. Those who passed don't know their scores - don't let them make you feel bad. They could have passed by one MBE question - and you could have failed by one - that doesn't make you worth less than them.
If you need to repeat the bar - you'll repeat it - it does not change your value. Even more important IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE AN AMAZING ATTORNEY!!! The bar exam is just one way of measuring your abilities and capabilities. Not everyone does well on tests like that. Some people excel at tests like that. It does NOT mean they will be a better attorney than you will be.
If it happens take a minute - scream, cry (probably best if you can do that in a restroom or at home) and take a couple of days to mope. You can - and will - pick yourself up. Stay off social media for a few days.
Find your friends. Those who are true friends will console you. There are others from your school who failed too - and you will be SHOCKED at who they are. Generally they are NOT the bottom of the class - most of them will be middle to top of the class range. I felt much better about myself when I saw who else was there. DO NOT hide from it - you will feel much better if you find others who also failed and support each other through the next four and a half months. Make your hotel reservations - get your books back out - and go look at your results (most states allow you to either request them or go see them).
If you want advise from a repeater - I passed my second attempt - and I completely changed my study strategy between - message me.
For those of you who passed - congrats. For the rest of you - my love to you all - you WILL get through this.

Yes. Not everyone is required to interview. In Chicago interviews are apparently rare - in lower parts of the state where they aren't as busy - you can get interviewed for almost anything.

If you pass it will say you passed. The letter goes on to say that it does not mean you are cleared from all aspects - just the exam itself.

If you don't mind me asking. How did you feel about the test waiting for your results both times? Also, since I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail, I'll take those retake tips now.

Hmmmm - I vacillated between feeling like "I just failed the bar" to "I only have to be higher than the very bottom people - and certainly I did at least that much."
Just message me if you still need tips after the results post. Don't sell yourself short. Right now - at this very minute - if everyone is being perfectly honest - they ALL feel like you do - hoping they passed - but expecting to fail - and don't let anyone tell you they don't!
