I am amazed at how quickly things are moving now. I also received my packet today in Northwestern PA. I am grateful to be on the pass side. Congrats to everyone who received the good news. Those of you who didn`t make it this time will surely make it in February. If you need any help PM me.

I wonder how it will compare.
Got my scores down in North Carolina today. 137.6 MBE scaled score and an 85 Raw essay and a 139.127 Scaled Essay, for a total score of 277. Whew, was that a close call.
Here is how my essays compared when broken down (my guesses vs. actual, all out of 20):
PT: 15 vs. 15
Essay #1: 16 vs. 13
Essay #2: 11 vs. 11
Essay #3: 18 vs. 15
Essay #4: 11 vs. 15
Essay #5: 11 vs. 9
Essay #6: 13 vs. 7

Last essay was my worst too (9). I bet a lot of people ran out of time. I was surprised to see the Corps issue worth 10 points. I hardly spent any time studying that topic, and had to bs that issue. Congratulations on passing. Every point matters on this ridiculous test.Incubateus wrote:Incubateus wrote:Not yet, but I'm out of the state so I doubt I'll get mine before anybody else. Last two were my worst (8 on essay 5, 10 on 6) as well, though I actually had no time problems at all. Also had to BS the Corps issue haha, which doesn't surprise me because it was one of my weaker subjects.LSATclincher wrote:Last essay was my worst too (9). I bet a lot of people ran out of time. I don't understand the math. MBE: 157, PT/Essay: 150, Total: 306.
My essays range from 9 to 17 raw.
Whatever. I passed with plenty of room. C&F is done.

Didn't receive my results packet yesterday. Does that mean that I failed C&F?

Pretty sure the website says they mailed everyone's, so I doubt it. Just means slow mail.Lacepiece23 wrote:Didn't receive my results packet yesterday. Does that mean that I failed C&F?

Nope, I have a friend who got his results and it just did not include the certificate recommending admission (he is waiting on some C&F documentation).Lacepiece23 wrote:Didn't receive my results packet yesterday. Does that mean that I failed C&F?
Speaking of scores, I was surprised how wildly close my scores were: MBE = 164.2 / Essay = 164.1.

Eager to get my license so I can pro hac into some cases we are working on. Someone from PA please post when you receive your license, as mine will be a few days behind. Thanks.

Re: PA Bar Wait Group
They told me that I am admitted once I handed in my notarized oath. I walked mine down, and they gave me a card with my Id number. A few days later they sent me a letter saying that I am officially licenses and my official card will come in the mail in a few weeks.RyanPhillips wrote:Did anyone receive their license and bar id in the mail yet? I wonder if they will send the unofficial card in the mail then since I didn't walk mine down. When did you receive the letter in the mail?

They literally just wrote my bar number on a piece of paper. Your bar number was on the sheet that you sent in.RyanPhillips wrote:I wonder if they will send the unofficial card in the mail then since I didn't walk mine down. When did you receive the letter in the mail?

...Am I crazy or was there a post here saying that you could call the prothonotary's office and get your bar #? I didn't save a copy of the paper I mailed in or anything, so could someone post or PM me their phone number? I think my job wants the number next week so I guess I should call and get it haha.

Lol I'm not THAT dumb, just wanted to make sure they didn't give us a different number for bar application questions or whatever. Ya never know.

You can call the prothonotary in Pittsburgh. They'll tell you whether they received your motion, whether it was accepted, tell you your date of admission, and give you your bar number over the phone.

For those who sent in their forms and have received their letter back, around how long was the turn around between putting it in the mail and getting the letter? People at my firm are starting to ask how soon I will be officially admitted.

FYI everyone: when I called to get my atty #, she gave it to me and then said, "just like on your certificate."
So if it's helpful: your atty number is on your recommendation certificate. It is the middle number in the top left corner series of numbers (i.e. "No. xxx-YYYYYY-xxxx" it is the "YYYYYY"

Re: PA Bar Wait Group
Based on past release dates, Pennsylvania appears to release February results on the sixth Friday after exam week, meaning it's very likely that results will be posted April 8th this year. Less than 3 weeks away

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
