I could probably find this info somewhere if I weren't so lazy, but does anybody know if Themis's MBE PQs are actual MBE questions? I mean, they seem fine, but I get mildly paranoid whenever I'm studying for a standardized test but not using official questions. (I've done a lot of SAT/LSAT tutoring and know what a shitty job some test prep companies can do when they try to make up their own questions.)

They're a mix of actual MBE questions, modified MBE questions, and Themis developed questions.

Completely missed Contracts clause answer on NJ Graded Con Law essay, but the grader response seemed pretty positive. I guess a low score now is expected.

CA at 20%. But, I'm about a day ahead of my set schedule, so I think you're good.

12% PA/NJ. A little behind due to moving in the middle of bar prep but not too worried about it. I don't know how the hell people are a quarter done when we are only about a week and a half in with 7 weeks to go.

Oh yeah... I never learned anything about mortgages or zoning in my property class, so I've been boning that up. Luckily, property is not one of the larger subjects on the MBE.

Themis has about 2 paragraphs on zoning iirc.

Also, MBE has about 33 property questions (same as the other five subject areas). So no, I would not recommend blowing off property.

edit: just noticed that Civ Pro is not tested on the MBE.. starting to wonder if the 100 pages of federal civ pro are really worth it.

LSAC writes tighter questions than NCBE does for the MBE. I've missed a few because of imprecise wording.

Yeah, I definitely wasn't saying "blow off property"... and, I kinda worded my sentence wrong but I mean the pieces of property are smaller, more split up. So, if I absolutely suck at mortgages, that'll only be about 5 questions of the entire MBE day. Plus, no property topic is within the top ~40% of most questioned topics.

12% CA, but didn't start till last Monday and definitely goofed off some early in the week. Gotta say that next week looks brutal (torts, community property, corporations, agency, partnerships, plus real property practice essays) and not sure what I'm gonna do without Property Moby.

Checking in as an additional CA person. I got totally owned by the Con Law graded essay, but that's motivating me to study better. It also motivated me to obsess about the CA and MBE grading . . . for instance, did you know that a raw score of 139 on the July 2011 MBE would place you in approximately the top 30% of test takers? 145ish for top 20%, and 152ish for top 10%.

Con Law MBE has gone well: 84% average. Only 64% on Real Property so far, though. I hope I can bring the Real Property score up by reading the long outline, as I'm behind schedule anyway and still have 102 practice questions to do.

Ahead of me dude, I'm only at 14% really got to kick it up. Been trying to take notes as I go while reading but there's just too damn much material to do that. Doing fine on the MBE so far, but idk how I'm going to learn anything meaningful from 90 freaking pages of VA civ pro, argh

I missed that, too. It didn't even occur to me to think about the mortgages as contracts, even though they are.

I'm 28% complete, but I started on May 6, the early opening.
