I haven't been a big poster here, but have followed this forum and so pleased for everyone who passed! Even though we're effectively all just names on the internet to one another, I feel like in some sense we endured this together!
I've had the horrifying stats for foreign-educated applicants in my head for weeks, but thrilled to say that passed too (300) - can hardly concentrate on work today!!

Congrats!!ndp1234 wrote:PASSED AS WELL!! MBE: 148.9; Total Score: 281 so good enough for any state
I know people have said this so many times already but I am truly amazed I passed. Left the ENTIRE secured transactions question blank. Not one rule. Not one word. Talking out of my ass for all the others except civ pro. The "Evidence" question - didn't even mention hearsay, or crim pro, didn't finish all the factors for the MPT and pretty sure my product was legally conclusory for both MPTs. Torts - didn't mention any market share like others were worried about - just the basic rules for neg and strict liability. Only one I was completely confident about was civ pro. The rest is just a blur.
MBE - I bubbled in my answers wrong and had to go back and re-bubble them in. I was pretty sure about 10-20 questions would be graded wrong and was preparing to submit a request for hand grading.
I scored a 279 which I'm very happy with!! I don't plan on moving to Alaska!!
Scored a 136.4 on the MBE! So not great, but still got a pretty good score, I'd say! So writing portions must have helped, but I was sure I totally bombed the essays. MPT was my strongest point, even on previous bar I failed. Wish I could see a score breakdown!
I was sure I had failed. I read the email so many times to make sure it was real!! Over the moon!!!

PAASSEEDD!! 345, 168.2 MBE. I walked out feeling meh about essays, awful about MBE, and was completely convinced I failed after reading the post-exam discussions on this forum. Future test takers - don't go on the internet!

Re: NY July 2016 Thread
Passed with a 343 and a 168.2 MBE as well. I walked out of the essays glad I answered everything, realizing I missed a glaring issue on one essay and felt very uncomfortable about a certain "surprise" essay. After the morning of the MBE, I felt like this was doable. Was certain I failed after the afternoon session.canijustsleep wrote:PAASSEEDD!! 345, 168.2 MBE. Grats everybody! I'm jealous you get an overall score to see how much you passed by. Only knowing your MBE score if you passed the old exam was annoying.
For those who failed, I failed my first attempt (By 30 points) and passed the second time around. I'm gainfully employed and only people close to me even have any idea I failed once. Do your best to wallow in self pity over the weekend and try to make a plan of attack for the February exam. The next 6 months is going to suck but be really honest with yourself and your preparation for this exam. Try to fix the holes in your studying game and dedicate yourself even more for the next attempt.
Also, if you failed, do yourself a favor and send your scores into http://www.seperac.com/ for an analysis. The guy gave me a 20 (?) page breakdown of my scores and where I stacked up to the other people who failed and sent him scores. It really gave me a good idea of where I needed to improve and focus my studying for the final month. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and it's free so you have nothing to lose.

Congrats! Had the same MBE as you. Do we have any idea how to figure out what that translates to in terms of raw score?judgefudge wrote:But of course I went to sleep early the day they came out.
Passed with a 310!! MBE was 147.4. Cried like a baby when I found out.

Passed with plenty of room to spare. TLS has been a wonderful place to spent some time and share some thoughts. Thanks to all.

Hello y'all,
Congratulations to all who passed the Bar!
On the other side, I'm sorry for all who failed, like me.
Can I get a second JD in Wisconsin and waive the Bar?!
