I know someone who scored higher.
Sick I can knock down his ego at this bar.

I apologize I misread your post. I just saw congratulations and assumed you had passed. I am a repeat bar taker and I passed this time around so I am sure you will too in February!

I wouldn't think that's too likely. Given that about 1/200 test-takers get a 180+ on the July exam nationwide,* and that so many people take the New York bar and many of them attend very good law schools, I think you can safely assume there were a fair number of 180s in New York - probably 50 or so out of the 10,000 test-takers. Further, you can safely assume that some of those people got well over 170 combined on the essays, given that we've already seen a 178 reported in here, and that I got 172 points on my essays in spite of whiffing on whole questions. Some incredibly talented people take the New York bar and some of those people, for reasons I don't quite understand, study for the bar quite intensively.

You don't understand why "incredibly talented people" might study "intensively" for what is arguably the most important test of their lives?

PASSED AS WELL!! MBE: 148.9; Total Score: 281 so good enough for any state :)

I know people have said this so many times already but I am truly amazed I passed. Left the ENTIRE secured transactions question blank. Not one rule. Not one word. Talking out of my ass for all the others except civ pro. The "Evidence" question - didn't even mention hearsay, or crim pro, didn't finish all the factors for the MPT and pretty sure my product was legally conclusory for both MPTs. Torts - didn't mention any market share like others were worried about - just the basic rules for neg and strict liability. Only one I was completely confident about was civ pro. The rest is just a blur.

MBE - I bubbled in my answers wrong and had to go back and re-bubble them in. I was pretty sure about 10-20 questions would be graded wrong and was preparing to submit a request for hand grading.

I asked someone on another forum to look up the names on the list and he said i wasnt part of it, I almost lost it and went nuts until I finally decided to look up my bole ID to find out I passed with a 266! WTF is wrong with some people lmao. Re: that published list of passing applicants though, when does that come out and where? thanks and congrats all!

You can see the full list of people who passed in the New York Law Journal. It's posted on their site. I used lexis login.

Did anyone else get the "Passed not Certified" letter, even though you've taken and passed both the NYLE and MPRE?

I took the NYLE in May and the MPRE the March before that and passed with a high enough score for NY. A little worried...

Yeah. Mine wasn't certified. But I got 90 on mpre and passed NYLE. I'm sure it's not a big deal. Going to call them tomorrow

I was refreshing this forum constantly. But gave up and stoped. Got a phone call at 1am from a friend. I still don't think it hit me yet that I passed the bar exam. Lol

First time poster - well done to everyone who passed and hope everyone who didn't quite make a 266 doesn't give up!!

I have not had an email yet. Nothing. It says I passed when I use the BOLE lookup - but I still would like the email!

Foreign lawyer here who never got a survey by email either. Can't call the office because it's closed. Any ideas? Also very intrigued to get my score (though obviously it doesn't really matter!!)

Check your spam or double check the email that they sent all those annoying survey e-mails to. :D

Just curious as to what the failing e-mails said, my good friend hasn't gotten one yet and his bole ID won't appear in look-up which is why we can't even go based on the list. were they long? thanks

Apparently someone passed name PUPKIN, DAVID S.

Wonder what he thought of the SNL skit last weekend.
