The multi-state or the FL MC? This is unclear.

I emailed Themis something about study strategies and how to improve on weak areas, and the person who wrote back said that the PQ sets pull from those weak areas, so a lot of people feel like they stagnate. That might explain part of it.

That's helpful! But also that then wouldn't explain large improvements over time though...that's where I'm confused.

I found a previous post a while back from TLS where someone said thy asked about the later sets and Themis told them they were made up of topics you were doing bad in... Thats why it's all online- cause the sets are tailored to you later on. I just spent 10 mins trying to find that post and couldn't

Careful what you say! I burned all my test books (literally lit them on fire) in 2013 after passing the bar and proclaimed that that was the last test I'd ever take. And here I am...

How much overlap is there in the logic/rules of security interests and mortgages?
(I know UCC Art 9 does not apply to real property, just wondering whether the rules that govern real property/mortgages work similarly (how similar?))

I took secured credit, but have not really looked at the mortgage section of the property outline.

Just trying to figure out how much of my secured credit knowledge + gut instinct I can rely on in doing the property MBE questions involving mortgages....
I guess that would depend what they taught you in secured credit. I took a mortgages/adv real property class in Law school, and that covered most of the stuff.

The mbe stuff on mortgages can't be more than 10 or so pages in the outline... I'd just learn what they have

Probably not much. The recording statutes in a particular jdx are going to determine priority, and they don't necessarily following Article 9 perfection rules.

I don't think it's the same for everyone.

For one, one time I started a mixed set and due to a technical error, had to start over. The questions I had in the beginning when I first started did not appear when I started the same set for a second time.

Also, I just completed set 6 and had at least 3 repeat questions from earlier sets.

So I don't think the sets are the same for everyone.

I'm hitting over 75% accuracy rate on MBE question sets, but I don't know what the heck is going on with family law or conflicts. Never studied them in law school. Anyone have tips for the multi-factor tests? My memory isn't cooperating

For conflcits, I would just memorize the three approaches generally. no need to memorize the approches for each specific area of law. Then just BS the essay.

Family law is a bitch for me because theress so many random topics and they arent really interrelated. Might be better off just skipping it in a UBE state

I actually prefer SecTrans because theres a unified system and everything connects

Sitting in the classroom at the Themis location for the simulated MBE.

16 people. Not bad.

S&T and Themis use the same questions sometimes. Just got 80% on mixed set 3 because of repeats. Kinda skews my progress.

This is the lawyerly version of a YouTube comment where the reply is to correct another user's grammatical mistake. Yesterday, when I posted this, was the Simulated Exam for Florida. Today is the simulated multi-state. There are enough contextual clues for you not to be confused. Interestingly enough, many many people replied but where not as confused as you were. Also, since you are in Florida, you probably knew the Themis schedule for simulated MBE and Florida portion dates.

Anyways, it's very strange that you would be confused. Something is definitely going on. In any event, what score did you get?

This helped: http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 1&t=249162
Also the outline on effecientbarpep.com is good
It's a brutally boring subject, and I still don't understand it in the least

So, the Themis rep talked to us before we started our simulated MBE this morning (at the Themis location), and she basically said that the FIRST SET you do for a subject (the first 17 PQ set) is standard for everyone. The subsequent sets are pretty much tailored to your weaknesses.

I just wanna say that dear god, doing 100 MBE problems in a row, without a break, is tiring. Also, having done everything in interactive mode (except the milestones and this), it sucks not knowing how you're doing. My morning session was like, "Oh man, I bet I've gotten like two questions right."

The prospect of doing another 100 after lunch makes my ancestors feel tired.

Interesting. So should we not be worried if we're scoring lower then expected then? Or does the goal % factor this in?

I guess the goal is to motivate you to study those trouble areas more.

The prompt right before entering the exam says that students are expected to be around 115-120 correct for both sessions, so use that as your gauge.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
