It's not graded anyways. If it was graded I would have waited.Vantwins wrote:you did it already, i thought it was a 6 hour test??Rahviveh wrote:Yeah I did the simulated essays today. Did fine on the MBE topics but couldn't do shit on the MEE topics. Guess it's back to reviewing those.
I'm waiting till next week. It's pointless until I get a chance to review everything!

I'm getting this palpable sense of dread that my simulated MBE score isn't gonna be up to snuff. My practice sets have all been pretty good lately, but still, I'm not looking forward to that moment of truth where we find out what we got tomorrow afternoon. If I do well, it'll be such a relief, but anything under what Themis considers passing range will kill my morale.

I've decided to wait until Thursday/Friday to do my simulated exams, as tomorrow I'm busy, so I wouldn't have been able to do them back-to-back if I started today.

You just set your fate my friend. No matter what, you MUST think positively. This test is just that, a test. It doesn't dictate/define who you are or negate any of your wonderful life accomplishments. Use the numbers to your benefit. They provide feedback for what you already know and understand and what you now need to reinforce. I understand it's easier said than done...I'm no unicorn, just someone who has gotten a million 2nd chances in life. And I've come to understand that no matter where we are or what we are doing, the best thing one can do for themselves AND their morale is to think and be positive.Fivedham wrote:I'm getting this palpable sense of dread that my simulated MBE score isn't gonna be up to snuff. How do you move them back? Do you notify Themis or just not due them till a day later?

Just skip over the scheduled simulated exam for today, and instead go into flex mode and choose what you want to do from the left side of the page where it says "Flex study." Then when you are ready to do the simulated exams, go into Flex Study and click on the exams to do them when you want to.Kragoth180 wrote:How do you move them back? 56% That shit was hard. I have sooo much to review!livinlaw wrote:I got a 49%kishy wrote:BarPreppin'12 wrote:Who is taking the Simulated Florida Exam tomorrow?
I'm taking Florida today. Reviewing civ pro right now. There's no way I'm prepared.(...I commented yesterday that I didn't think it "that bad" lol!) The average is 58% (but that might change as the day goes on and more people finish it?). I do wish Themis would tell us what the goal is, but I assume it's probably not 49% at this point. It's frustrating because for Florida I feel like there aren't enough practice state MC questions. Are we just supposed to learn the law by doing the essays and then never have practice w/MC? Like, there's one family law practice set and it's only to do with dependency. wtf.

Are people following Themis' agenda all the way to the end?
I'm a little behind, but only planning to do 75% and then doing my own thing after that point [lots of essays, MBE's from Emmanuels]

Yep. I'm going to follow Themis' review schedule, do all PQs and essays they assign, and still supplement with some Emanuels stuff of my own on specific subjects.cleanhustle wrote:Are people following Themis' agenda all the way to the end?

Yikes...for Virginia they gave you an overall time of 3 hours as well as a timer per question of 3 hours (instead of 36 minutes per question).ultimolugar wrote:So I started to do the essays, and it had two timers... a 3 minute timer and a 180 minute timer. I wonder is this is their first time doing this? Pretty unacceptable I think

Abso-fucking-lootly. 90% of people in my state who get 100% completion pass. So, I feel like if I get 100% done, I give myself a 90% chance of passing. State-wide is 76%, so I like those odds.cleanhustle wrote:Are people following Themis' agenda all the way to the end?

In MA (otherwise known as Passachusetts), those that complete 75% or more of Themis have a 95% passage rate... Just got an email tell us to shoot for 80% because that'll be sufficient. I'm going to try to hit 80% with about 1.5 week left to allow for more review on my own/ memorization for the essay.1down1togo wrote:Abso-fucking-lootly. 90% of people in my state who get 100% completion pass. Anyone have good suggestions for a mobile supplemental app? I know critical pass covers the MBE. Is there any that also covers the MEE or does anyone have a better suggestion?

Wills seems like a fairly straight forward subject. I would greatly appreciate an essay on it rather than secured transactions. Thanks.

How do I change to flex study? The assignments are piling up since I'm spending some time with S&T.

I absolutely LOVE the Critical Pass cards (And I'm not a flashcard person). For the MEE subjects I have Leansheets, which isn't as detailed as Magicsheets. I've heard really good thinngs about Magicsheets. There's also Bar in a Flash that covers MEE subjects. You can even order by subject.PotLuck wrote:Anyone have good suggestions for a mobile supplemental app? I know critical pass covers the MBE. You just select the topics that you want to work on from the left side. It isn't a "permanent" switch kind of thing, you just choose from the left hand side what you want to do next.bsktbll28082 wrote:How do I change to flex study? Following same plan - I think I'll pass 80% because I plan to do a ton of essays in the next couple of weeks (and I checked some things off that I half-assed like assessment qs etc) but I think as long we we've hit 80% we're good to go!rambleon65 wrote:In MA (otherwise known as Passachusetts), those that complete 75% or more of Themis have a 95% passage rate... Not necessarily aiming for 100%. MBE is only worth a 3rd of the overall score in MD, so I may not get through 18 sets of MBE mixed PQs if I'm doing decent on those - better to be memorizing law and practicing essays. I'm at 58% now, but spending a lot of time studying this week that I'm not getting "credit" for through Themis tasks.cleanhustle wrote:Are people following Themis' agenda all the way to the end?
