Yeah you got plenty of time!MoonSugar wrote:Yep, full-time for me. I will probably need to take off anywhere from 6-8 days between now and the bar, but otherwise, 100% of my time can go toward studying. If I can convince myself to do close to 2% per day I should be close to finishing the course.Neilt001 wrote:

Whoever is taking California I feel for you. I can only imagine. To make anyone feel better and take comfort that it can be done, my buddy got a sub 150 LSAT and passed Cali his first try (I am from FL but taking OH). Guy just grinded non stop.

Probably a silly question, but for those of you who are doing extra MBE questions aside from the assigned PQ's, are you jumping from subject to subject, or are you sticking to the subject you're currently doing on the Themis schedule?
Also, has anyone used the MBE quizbuilder option yet? If so, is it any good, or is it best to pay for Adaptibar to be safe?

for Themis examinees that are taking the california bar who stick to the themis topic or did not see the post in the California thread:
I discovered a blogger who also founded a review company and she has quite a few followers as well as viewers and also blogs free information about the Bar Exam in general, and the California exam in particular. Her website is https://barexamguru.com/ and she is the owner of "Bar None Review." I just thought I'd post this for you guys, I think it is worth looking into.
Happy studying!

I think it depends how far along you are. I think you can afford to skip around on all the subjects you've got under your belt. After all, switching from one subject to another is how it is on exam day, so good to study that way. Having said that, when you're still learning a subject or trying to get a comfortable with them, you may feel like drilling one at a time.Great45 wrote:Probably a silly question, but for those of you who are doing extra MBE questions aside from the assigned PQ's, are you jumping from subject to subject, or are you sticking to the subject you're currently doing on the Themis schedule?

Personally, I stuck to the Themis schedule, which was mostly single-subject PQs until you had all subjects under your belt. Then from that point on it's all multi-subject PQs. I liked that approach. I then completed the course, and started using the quiz builder. You can either do mixed or focus the PQs on any weaknesses you still have. I didn't get any additional PQ resources like adaptibar. However, I did buy a practice test straight from the NCBE (just to see how it compared and how I would do), but I quickly found I had already done lots of those questions with Themis, and that they were basically the same, as far as I could tell. Having not done adaptibar, I can't speak to how it compares, but I didn't see a use for it personally. Themis had more PQs than I could have done.

That does encourage me, thanks! As of now, the sheer amount of memorization required is really overwhelming me. I read the model answers to these essays and it's just like how the hell did the author just regurgitate that paragraph-long rule statement? Hopefully that'll change over the next two monthsLawworld19 wrote:Whoever is taking California I feel for you. I can only imagine. Re: THEMIS JULY 2018 - DISCUSSION
Quick question. If we are taking laptops for MEE and MPT, do we have a separate hard-copy exam booklet or everything is in the exam software? and I think we will be provided a blank piece of paper (NY), but I wonder if it is only one, or we can get more

I am not in NY but you do get a booklet with the MEE/MPT prompts and library in it (so you can make notes for those in the booklet), and you just type your answers into your exam software.deacon wrote:Quick question. The exam booklets is where the questions/fact patterns/mpts are located but if you are a laptop candidate, yes all your answers on the essay day (day 1 in NY) are via exam software. Also, I do not recall getting scrap paper, I believe we were told to write in the booklets to do whatever we have to (outline/isssue spot/ewhatever) but I could be wrong/it may have changed.deacon wrote:Quick question. Yep that's right. Everything is in hardcopy and the only thing you do on the laptop is enter your answers. They didn't provide scrap paper to us in NY (Feb 2018) but you're free to write on the question sheets.ubebarstudying wrote:The exam booklets is where the questions/fact patterns/mpts are located but if you are a laptop candidate, yes all your answers on the essay day (day 1 in NY) are via exam software. Re: THEMIS JULY 2018 - DISCUSSION
I feel like I'm going crazy with this secured transactions example on pg. 25-26 of the lecture notes with Kelly's uncle and the bank. The uncle's interest attached on March 1 and was perfected on March 10. The bank's interest attached on March 15 and was perfected on March 15. How does the bank have priority under the first to file rule then?

The bank filed on March 5, which occurred before the uncle perfected on March 10. Though the bank's security interest wasn't perfected until March 15 (when attachment occurred), it nonetheless was the first to file or perfect.midtrains wrote:I feel like I'm going crazy with this secured transactions example on pg. 25-26 of the lecture notes with Kelly's uncle and the bank. 23.3% complete. Getting beyond slaughtered by property questions (the Themis state director mentioned it in their check-in with me).
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
