From the VBBE website (I had the same question you did)
If my computer power cord is 10 feet long, do I need to bring an extension cord?
Yes, you must bring at least a 6-foot extension cord. Power outlets will be within approximately 6-8 feet of each seat. To ensure that no one has to step over a power cord that is suspended in the air, you must have sufficient extension cord length.

I found a big zip lock bag laying around the house. But, it has the white brand name on it so it's not 100% clear. I'm guessing it will be okay.

Rite Aid has a 6ft extension cord for 5$. Bought one just in case (my cord is 9ft by itself).
Also bought a gallon freezer bag from giant for my stuff.

Dunno. Depends how they enforce it I guess. Maybe the entrance instructions are a secret essay question.bsktbll28082 wrote:Just realized my laptop doesnt fit in the bag. Do you think it has to?

Also, does anyone know if there's a room to leave our lunch? I'm assuming no, and to just let it roast in the car.

Because there were 2000 extra people at my hotel today. And there was no parking for many blocks around. I got here early, and it was fine, but I imagine it caused a hassle for some people.ironbmike wrote:Why?polareagle wrote:So, this is mildly concerning: http://wtop.com/virginia/2016/07/trump- ... on-monday/

Sorry, no idea about lunch. But my guess is no since they said there was no place to store items.

I assume we will have to walk in the 100 degree weather in suits to get something to drink and eat? Does the Roanoke center have a place for us to eat and drink at?

Might be able to rip some lunch off the law school tables that will be there. Good luck everyone, good vibes, and no tax or commercial paper.philippian413 wrote:I assume we will have to walk in the 100 degree weather in suits to get something to drink and eat? Ouch. I know I guessed wrong on either-or rules maybe 3 or so times, and I screwed up some vocab (switched e.g., bailee / bailor, mortgagor / mortagee) throughout one of the questions. Hope this is in the normal range.

I didn't even use the word 'mortgage' or anything close to the topic. At all.kcdc1 wrote:Ouch. Hence "e.g." I committed a similar vocab screw-up.bsktbll28082 wrote:I didn't even use the word 'mortgage' or anything close to the topic. At all.kcdc1 wrote:Ouch. Definitely surprising. Wills and domestic relations were the mainstays. They bucked the trend on us.ironbmike wrote:A bit shocked by the topics, or more so the omissions, tbh

Or a big real property one, unless I'm blanking (totally possible right now).pleasepass wrote:Definitely surprising. Wills and domestic relations were the mainstays. They bucked the trend on us.ironbmike wrote:A bit shocked by the topics, or more so the omissions, tbh

No trusts, no fraudulent conveyance / involuntary transfer. But they did have an entire question on LLP's. Fantastic.
Did anyone else feel like they were blanking on a few rules? It's so hard to know what the average level of performance is.

Yes, but not a few. I ended up doing a lot of "innovating" with my rule statements. I expect the VBBE to be suitably impressed. I'm the damned J. Skelly Wright of Commercial Paper/Secured Transactions/Partnership Law.kcdc1 wrote:No trusts, no fraudulent conveyance / involuntary transfer. But they did have an entire question on LLP's. I feel like whoever wrote the essay portion of the exam this year was just like "hmmm let's see what Barbri says will be on the exam AND DO EVERYTHING BUT THOSE TOPICS"
Also settle down on the dress code speech its not that serious.

I don't have too much confidence in my performance the last two days. I'm guessing a lot of people feel this way. Such a crap shoot to know what va will test

Yeah....definitely not confident.
Let's say you get ~5 subparts dead-wrong (wrong rule leads to wrong analysis and wrong conclusion), but otherwise write reasonably cogent essays and do decently on the MBE. Is that a passing effort?
