I'm not about one-upping anyone, but I also have a $65 coupon code for AdaptiBar. Either way, it seems to be a pretty good tool, and a few of the questions have things that I've never in my life read on Barbri.

Does one have to be an Adaptibar subscriber to get a code?

Re: February 2016 California Bar Exam
Do people get some sort of a kickback from Adaptibar for each person you refer with coupon code? I see a lot of people with a lot of codes for Adaptibar. Makes me question if Adaptibar is actually as good as people say it is, or people say it is good so more people use their code.

Yea I get a $50 kickpack for people that use my code. But I would still recommend it even w/o a kickback. I think it's better than other MBE study sources like Barbri

I have the Kaplan MBE Workbook. I heard this is decent and definitely beats Barbri. Can anyone verify?
Also I just dont have enough $$$ to spend on prep courses anymore.

Personally, I don't -- I had this code from someone else. No wonder that person isn't tracking me down to tell me to knock it off.MrMustache wrote:Do people get some sort of a kickback from Adaptibar for each person you refer with coupon code? I like AdaptiBar and I've only heard good things. I like the idea of doing actual MBE questions. Barbri questions were harder, but I felt like they weren't at all like the actual bar questions.

How has everyone's studying been so far? I just have been doing MBE questions, but I wonder if I should focus on memorizing my outlines...Though I feel that would just be such a time sink. At least doing MBE questions feels practical.

Doing BarBri now instead of Themis and holy shit does BarBri's approach make more intuitive sense to me. I'm basically treating it like it's my very first time studying for the bar, except that I'm focusing more on memorization.Raiden wrote:How has everyone's studying been so far? I have been having the hardest time starting/continuing. I've had to start clocking in and clocking out (using an app) just to hold myself accountable. Now those "5 hours of studying" have really shown me that I'm really doing 2 hours of raw study time. It's been helpful to see just how much I really slack off.Raiden wrote:How has everyone's studying been so far? I joined a repeaters program, and I don't know, it just feels like nothing is really sinking in. We do a lot of essays, and I suck monkey balls at all of them. I'll be starting with a tutor on Wednesday, and I'm thinking I might just let go of the program.Raiden wrote:How has everyone's studying been so far? The repeaters program basically has us doing essays from memory, but I find that if I write something down wrong, thats what sticks in my brain. I would rather have an open book and write things correctly so thats what sticks in my brain.
But damn, this is all freaking me out because there is SO MUCH TO KNOW

I think the theory is that once you receive feedback on your written essay, you are supposed to be so flabbergasted by the fact that you wrote down he wrong thing that you will never forget what the right thing is.rcharter1978 wrote:I joined a repeaters program, and I don't know, it just feels like nothing is really sinking in. and yeah, there is a lot to know. I am convinced that everyone who passes the first time around passes purely because of luck, because 1- they just coincidentally memorized the specific 200 of 1,000,000,000 rules that are tested on the exam, and 2- had a grader that wasnt drunk while grading essays (serious)

I absolutely want a drunk bar grader. A happy drunk who will just be like "fuck it, let me give them all 75's so I can go to the liquor store and get some more Boone's"InTheWideLand I Walk wrote:I think the theory is that once you receive feedback on your written essay, you are supposed to be so flabbergasted by the fact that you wrote down he wrong thing that you will never forget what the right thing is.rcharter1978 wrote:I joined a repeaters program, and I don't know, it just feels like nothing is really sinking in. Frankly, mission accomplished with the repeater course. I truly feel like I know absolutely nothing. And today we had a damn question on California Evidence. I almost got the hives just thinking about an actual California Evidence Question on the Bar Exam. I don't even know that I know enough to bullshit my way through a California Evidence Question.

Hi rcharter1978, if you don't mind me asking, what is this repeaters program you are doing? Is it one of those full prep courses?rcharter1978 wrote:I joined a repeaters program, and I don't know, it just feels like nothing is really sinking in. No worries, its a small one that is run by a former law school dean. It actually has a pretty high success rate, so there is a secret in there somewhere. Its a very intense course, and uses a lot of Barbri materials.hotsummer wrote:Hi rcharter1978, if you don't mind me asking, what is this repeaters program you are doing? Are you considering a repeater course? What are you looking at/considering?

what app do you use? this would be really helpful for me because i waste a significant amount of time just staring at my assignments trying to psych myself up enough to get through them.Metal_Inquisition wrote:I have been having the hardest time starting/continuing. The app I've been using is called Eternity Time Log. I'm sure there are better time keeper or clock-in apps, but this one works just fine just so you can start the timer when you work, and stop the timer when you leave your desk or do something else that's not study-related.BONG_HiTS_4_YEEZUS wrote:what app do you use? this would be really helpful for me because i waste a significant amount of time just staring at my assignments trying to psych myself up enough to get through them.Metal_Inquisition wrote:I have been having the hardest time starting/continuing. I second this. I got a 75 on the first read for one essay and then a 60 on the second read of the same. Supervisor had to come in and give a 70. Somebody was fucking high on coke and it ain't me.InTheWideLand I Walk wrote:I think the theory is that once you receive feedback on your written essay, you are supposed to be so flabbergasted by the fact that you wrote down he wrong thing that you will never forget what the right thing is.rcharter1978 wrote:I joined a repeaters program, and I don't know, it just feels like nothing is really sinking in. My professor advised me to go through the lectures again, but I really feel lectures waste so much time. I think I am just going to outline the large outlines already provided into my own mini version instead. Also, isn't repeating the same thing you did last time just a recipe to fail again?

I would just view specific lectures to fill in any parts of your outline that might be unclear...otherwise they are a total waste of time, and an energy drain IMHO. But I am using a prep course schedule just to keep myself on track. Here;s the schedule I am using:

You can use it even if you do not buy their outlines. That's what I am doing. It's an 8 week schedule.

The only thing I remember that was "new" was that the police couldn't do a dog sniff outside a suspect's house....But there may be more than that....cldiva1 wrote:Hey guys,
