Also how long does it take to get out for lunch? And how long does it take to come back in?

they say you can bring a power strip, so bring one with you just to be safe

as for lunch we get an hour and a half I believe

Where does it say you can bring a power strip? Isnt a power strip just an extension. I would still need an outlet!! Its so weird if they expect us to do that!!
A power strip lets a bunch of people plus into the same outlet. http://www.amazon.com/Fellowes-6-Outlet ... 904&sr=1-5 There have to be some outlets. Especially since we aren't allowed to take our computers out of the exam rooms during the lunch break. Even people with the best/brand new computers probably aren't going to have a computer that lasts all day.

They will have power strips, the security policy says this: LAPTOP USERS: For the New York day of the exam, you may bring your laptop and power cord into the exam room.

You bring your power cord that plugs into the power strip, not the actual power strip.

I am just not bringing a bag. I will survive. Are other people taking it at Javitz going to bother with bag check?

Someone I am not really friends with anymore lives one block from Javitz. I wasn't very strategic in that friendship.

I was told the reason why people don't bring bags is because the bag check is so crazy on the way out at the end of the day, not so much because of the lunch break. I think it'd only be a huge hassle if you plan to take your bag with you at lunch and have to wait on line to check it back in.

Also, re: power outlets for the essay day, there should be enough outlets at Javits, but there is a chance the outlet by your seat may not work, in which case you cannot change seats.

Yea I went with the lunch delivery option so I am just going to stick it out without a bag. It would be nice to have music or something to do during the lunch, but I don't want deal with any bag check lines or the off chance my bag gets stolen.

So I guess we have to choose between coffee or water. Because we only get 1 one-liter beverage container. Dumb.

I'm going with diet coke.

I will drink coffee on my way in the morning. Also Javitz is in such a god awful location that I am going to take a cab there, rather that take the subway and then walk over 4 avenues.

Pouring two redbulls in a one-liter bottle, then filling to the top with water.

So how many people other than me had to make up multiple laws for today's essays? Seriously, some of those issues were out of left field. I sometimes wondered whether I'd studied for the right state.

Examsoft is the worst piece of shit ever. Seriously, you can't get a better vender than this one? Been trying to upload for a half hour and nothing is working, not even the manual upload link.

Me. No specifics on the questions but... I thought the afternoon essays were orders of magnitude more difficult than the morning essays.

Probably just everyone is trying to upload at once all over the country. We have until 8:30 tomorrow. Chill and try again later tonight.

Does it keep saying you're not connected to the internet because clearly I am as I write this. I'm trying to get through to examsoft and been waiting over 20 min now.

Someone doing the IL bar posted this in another thread - there are thousands of people in multiple states attempting to upload right now. I imagine that's why they give us a reasonably long deadline to upload. I would just hold off a while.

Yeah, the right answer is just relax and try in a few hours from now or tomorrow morning. It's just aggravating that they know this is going to happen every year but are unable or unwilling to do something about it. Or at the very least, give us a heads-up that uploading once you get home is going to be a bother.

IL apparently only has until 2am and I have no clue about other states' deadlines. I am going to try before bed and then again in the morning if that doesn't work.

The afternoon essays took me more time, but I though the morning essays were much harder.

Examsoft is a nightmare and NY should not be using them.
My computer crashed as I tried to press the finish button to the A.M. section.
The IT people there had no idea what they were doing.
I have no idea what was saved and what was not. This service is so incompetent that I have no faith that the program has saved my last versions of both tests.
Now, everything is crashing and I don't successfully upload through examsoft, instead I get an error message. However, I magically got an email saying that my PM test was uploaded successfully. WTF
