Re: NY July 2016 Thread
I just called for shits and giggles. I asked "Do you know if results will be out this week?" and the woman's response was "Early November, ma'am."
Not trying to wreak any more havoc on this thread, but just saying what was told to me. I'm gonna assume they're telling the truth and start going to sleep at a normal time until Nov. 1 hits.
P.S. My CID is VERY prestigious, so you have to believe everything I say

Maybe we've been too easy on them, just listening when they told us not to call and ask. If we inundate them with calls then they'll have no choice but to start telling us when. The people answering those phones are going to get annoyed and ask for something concrete to tell us eventually.

I like what you're doing with this. We pretend to not expect it, to trick BOLE into giving it to us.MrT wrote:16%OrangeCrush456 wrote:What are the chances that results are going to come out today?

Not that I'm saying it is likely, but I would prefer a midnight release over a 5 pm one.

Re: NY July 2016 Thread
Based off of the previous releases, I'm predicting Nov 2. For two reasons: (1) last year (2011) that the dates fell on the days as this year it was a Nov 2nd release; (2) based off of when October 31 falls, if it is starting a week with November days (or no where close to an immediately preceding Tuesday or Wednesday) November results are to be expected.
But this is just speculation

I don't have time (or desire) to put together some sort of regression analysis but here is a chart list (no tables or images I guess) of the past 8 July releases:
2016: ??? --> Today = 91 days
2015: 90 days (Tuesday, October 27)
2014: 90 days (Tuesday, October 28)
2013: 91 days (Wednesday, October 30)
2012: 100 days (Friday, November 2)
2011: 98 days (Wednesday, November 2) *same exam dates as 2016
2010: 100 days (Friday, November 5)
2009: 98 days (Wednesday, November 4)
2008: 106 days (Thursday, November 13)
2016: ??? --> Today = 91 days
2015: 90 days (Tuesday, October 27)
2014: 90 days (Tuesday, October 28)
2013: 91 days (Wednesday, October 30)
2012: 100 days (Friday, November 2)

On the bright side, if results aren't released today at 5pm, we could probably assume that the last two years weren't necessarily predictive of this year and then just allow results to come when they come.

Yeah, tonight is the last night I'm staying up for the results, probably. Today is the literal three-month mark from the final day of the test. So if it's not tonight, then I'd say wait for next Tuesday.whitecollar23 wrote:On the bright side, if results aren't released today at 5pm, we could probably assume that the last two years weren't necessarily predictive of this year and then just allow results to come when they come.

The rest of us are lounging on our sofas in boxers reading rejection e-mails and watching CNN's daily tirade about Donald.

JK, it wasn't all that hard. The simple probability (based on previous results) is 12.5%.MrT wrote:I don't have time (or desire) to put together some sort of regression analysis but here is achartlist (no tables or images I guess) of the past 8 July releases:
