From what I was told during the course when I took it, pq1 is meant to be easier than the rest, but no noticeable difference between the others. You can, of course, glance at question by question stats and judge for yourself. I remember there were enough 'hard' questions where less than 10% of students got them right in PQ1.champloo wrote:do the pq sets for property (or any subject for that matter) get harder down the line? for example is pq set 1 easier than pq set 5?

I'm taking two days off now that I'm through property. No real excuse, just need to avoid burning out after this shite.

It's good to take a break. I ended up taking an unexpected day off yesterday, and I'm so much more refreshed now.cron1834 wrote:I'm taking two days off now that I'm through property. No real excuse, just need to avoid burning out after this shite.

Exactly, and then he proceeds to explain the examples over and over again - often making things more confusing.
All the other lecturers are much better, so he stands out for being particularly annoying. Plus, evidence is boring enough as it is.

I'm moving on to Torts today, but Property has taken me more than a week to get through. I was slogging through the MBE questions.cron1834 wrote:I'm taking two days off now that I'm through property. No real excuse, just need to avoid burning out after this shite.

Torts is a piece of cake but make sure you watch the lecturer at at least 2x.

Is there no more MBE PQs after the 5 sets they give us? Unless we exhaust our question bank, why would we need more questions from Adaptibar?kcjlo10 wrote:If anyone needs a $30 discount code for Adaptibar, feel free to pm me.

Why does every lecturer feel they need to introduce themselves at the beginning of each chapter?

I think there's one more for each subject but they're only 17 questions. The rest seem to be in the practice tests...helpappreciated wrote:Is there no more MBE PQs after the 5 sets they give us? I've decided to take Sundays completely off. I do an extra assignment each day to make up for it. No regrets! #SundayFunday

Per Themis, the MBE Quiz Builder has "thousands" of questions. They just refuse to tell us how many for each MBE topic. The claim is on this page (https://www.themisbar.com/features) under "Comprehensive Preparation."helpappreciated wrote:Oh, wow. Civ pro questions from Themis are all out of whack in my opinion...they don't have much of a past reference to accurately set the difficulty because it's a newer topic.rduffy5 wrote:Got a 53% on MBE PQ 3 in Civil Procedure. There are just so many rules......

I wonder if these questions are mostly duplicates of ones we're doing in the MBE PQ sets already.jennifer_42 wrote:Per Themis, the MBE Quiz Builder has "thousands" of questions. I'm guessing generally no based on this quote: "Note also that you may encounter some questions that you previously answered incorrectly in an MBE PQ set completed via Directed or Flex Study. If you answer the same MBE question twice, your most recent response will be reflected in the MBE Progress details."
As long as they're not duplicatesI might have to start using it. Don't really want to pay for Adaptibar.

Re: Themis Bar Review Hangout - July 2017
I've been doing a few extra quiz builder sets of 30 (across Prop, Ks, and Torts)...I'd say about 5% were repeats from the subject-specific PQs. Now I'm seeing a few more repeats but nothing egregious imo.AdInfinitum wrote:I wonder if these questions are mostly duplicates of ones we're doing in the MBE PQ sets already.jennifer_42 wrote:Per Themis, the MBE Quiz Builder has "thousands" of questions. One of the property MBE practice questions had this disclaimer after the explanation: "The foregoing NCBE MBE question has been modified to reflect current NCBE stylistic approaches; the NCBE has not reviewed or endorsed this modification."
So are some of the questions actual licensed MBE questions, and some just made up by Themis? Is there any way to tell the difference?

The family law lecture handouts are awful. I've noticed at least a couple of mistakes.
