Same -- the GF is not wild about this, but taking that weekend off seems a bit too risky right now.Easy-E wrote:I took off all of MDW so most likely studying. Probably go to a BBQ one day or something.john_brown wrote:What is everyone doing for the July 4th weekend?

To those who are using Adaptibar:
Is the technology worth the price? I have a good number of questions in paper form, but need to focus on my weak areas and optimise my practice time.

I also have a large number of questions in paper form, including the Kaplan Big Book and Emmanuel's. I'm around 500 questions in, and I'm really loving Adaptibar so far. I've studied with both paper and electronic questions (I'm taking my 3rd state bar this summer). I thought I would miss doing them on paper, but I really don't. I like being able to do questions on the go, like in line at the grocery store, and that's something I never did with paper form questions.myrtlewinston wrote:To those who are using Adaptibar:

With Adaptibar, you can review your scores based on subtopics, such as Contracts-Third Party's Rights or Evidence-Hearsay. I've been using this info to target my studying to those subtopics I'm having trouble in. My scores are already going up, and I still have 1,200 questions left. Given my rising scores already, I really do think it's worth the price.
PM me with the email you'd like to register with, and I can send you a $50 discount code. Adaptibar also has a free trial if you're on the fence.

Thanks. I have a repeater discount. It's a good product, but Bar prep is a money pit.

Re: NY July 2016 Thread
Has anyone had any luck calling BOLE to inquire about the school confirmation and handwriting forms? I gave my stuff to my school a month ago and haven't heard anything. Getting nervous with Wednesday's deadline.

Re: NY July 2016 Thread
I got an email from BOLE on the same day my documents were delivered confirming they had been received and approved. My law school also emailed me with tracking information once my materials were mailed. I'd definitely call both your school and BOLE to follow up today.WahooLaw24 wrote:Has anyone had any luck calling BOLE to inquire about the school confirmation and handwriting forms? NYS Bar Exam Proofs Received and Approved.
All required documentation has been reviewed and approved. You are now eligible to sit for the July 2016 bar examination. Approximately two weeks before the examination, you will be sent an email where you will be able to view and print your seat ticket. A copy of your seat ticket is necessary to gain entrance into the examination room.

"The period to confirm your location for the July 2016 NYS bar examination has closed. If you did not confirm your location by the required date, you have been assigned to a location based on available seats.
Your confirmed location is : ALBANY (LAPTOP)"
Even though I selected my exam location 17 minutes after they send that email a few days ago and had the screen pop up with the confirmation of my selection, today I received an email saying that I did not confirm my location. What the hell!!! I had already booked my flights + hotel. THANK GOD I was assigned to Albany and there's no need to change anything. Check your emails!

It says "if you didn't you were assigned," not necessarily that you didn't. Probably standard language.
I got the same and am at Buffalo, where I confirmed.

Yea, I'm tempted to do it for ease, but also like, fuck that. Such bullshit.MCFC wrote:$15 for the finest boxed sandwich and chips Buffalo has to offer?
When do we have to order by?
Although with however many thousands of dollars this fucking thing costs, I'm not sure that a $15 sandwich is the hill to die on.

Re: NY July 2016 Thread
This is really neurotic, I apologize in advance.
If we got the "All required documents have been reviewed and approved. You are now eligible to sit for the July 2016 bar examination" email, is there any other documents I need to be sure I submit? I ask because although I had my school fill out the form saying I had X passing credits/etc, I never gave the bar my diploma (we just got them conferred this week).
In short, do I need to give the NY bar proof of my diploma?

I don't believe so, I think the school certification took care of that part.Br3v wrote:This is really neurotic, I apologize in advance.
