Failed IL again. I'm not sure there will be a third time.

Don't be discouraged, lawst_. I failed in July (still waiting on results) and it took a day for me to even think clearly, let alone immediately after finding out. Sleep on it and try to take the weekend to think about it. I'm sure you can do it!!

Congratulations to all the new IL lawyers! You should feel so proud of yourself, and I feel so happy for you!

For those of you who didn't make it this time, don't give up! After many rounds of watching people I know pass and fail the bar (including myself in July), you should know that the bar reflects how you handle taking a multi-day test under the most stressful conditions, not your worth as a future lawyer. Take some time, do whatever grieving you need to in whatever way you need to, reboot, and then move forward.

Just remember, Cardozo failed the bar five times... but he still came back for a 6th round, passed, and added to our law school reading.

Am I reading this chart correctly? If the minimum score was around 266, does that mean that only about 50% of takers passed???

I looked here on TLS and it was posted on the 6th Fruday after the bar and someone posted at 1pm that scores were out for Kansas. The bar office opens in 4 minutes. So could be any minute. Uggggghhhh!!

I'm terribly sorry but please don't give up...it just takes one time to pass and then you are an attorney. You can do it...I know it's hard to think about now. Hugs!

looks like about 62%

50th percentile score was 270 and you need a 266 to pass? That's only about 60% passing. That is horrible!!

Yep...talked to the appellate clerk's office about 30 min ago and I said that we were in misery here and they told me she is working on getting them up today.

I really think a lot of the July people who failed overthought things...I know I did! So relieved to not have to tell my employer that I failed again.

I used Lean Sheets and Critical Pass to study this time. I also had a Barbri repeater course - but did almost none of it - wasn't impressed the first time with them.

Having the condensed versions of things really helped me to focus and not have all the other crap running around in my head.

one should compare Feb 15 results against Feb 16 results. Because the July test includes a higher percentage of first time test takers, Feb 16 versus July 15 is irrelevant. Feb 16 will be worse than Feb 15, but not to the extent that looking at July 15 would indicate.

I think in MA last Feb people started getting results about exactly 2 months post-bar... i have a weird feeling about 4/26 this year, although I really hope it doesn't take that long.

In the meantime - congrats all passers!! Not feeling so encouraged by that ABA article saying scores are down to an all time low... eek.
