Results are so unpredictable! It's hard to predict whether you passed or not, although I am biased for people who are unsure.
Easier said than done, but find a way to distract yourself from the anxiety. My thoughts:
- Focus on work (if any)
- Pretend the results are later (say, the fourth week of May)
- Stay away from here
Some things not to do:
- Be overly optimistic (thinking you must have passed)
- Infer things from your bar admission status and whatnot in your State Bar profile (there is no known way to find out ahead of time)
Things you can do if you find out you did not pass:
- Face your fears (realize bar prep is a learnable skill!)
- Find your dedication (not short-lived motivation but why do you want to do this)
- Find appreciation in the situation (think "I get to do this" or "other people would love to be in my position, who want to pursue their passion of becoming an attorney")
- Restart with fresh approaches. There are a lot of random tips out there. Find what resonates with you, but don't blindly follow it. It is a combination of ideas that will bring you closer to "getting it."
That said, for those of you worrying, I hope you passed!

For re-takers, the regular deadline to register for the exam is June 1, and the late deadline is June 15. Does anyone know if all testing centers are guaranteed available by the June 1 or the June 15th deadlines? Or it it first come first served? Just trying to prepare myself.

It's all I can think about - all my family knows and was shocked when I failed the first time. They don't really know what to say this time besides I passed. I don't think I did which may be better because I thought I passed the first time.Kalani111 wrote:Exactly. I have tried multiple tactics, fail.Rukawa wrote:i have no idea how i will survive this week
When this week is over....praying for success. It's all I got left.

This morning I woke up and considered not checking online at 6 on Friday and just waiting for the mail to come delaying the potential heart break. Fingers crossed for all. As its getting closer it's all consuming. In one month I will be an attorney or a bar prepper once again. The agony ......

Totally know the feeling. I think if we don't pass this time - take a deep breath, don't panic. Go to the beach this weekend. Start fresh Monday.Rukawa wrote:i dont know if i have it in me to do this again for 3 months.

I agree with not checking at 6 exactly. Go to dinner. Walk back to your computer at maybe 6:15-6:30, deep breath, check it. Take some of the anxiety and anticipation out.MailboxCrusher wrote:This morning I woke up and considered not checking online at 6 on Friday and just waiting for the mail to come delaying the potential heart break. Literally stay away from here until Friday 6 PM or else you'll drive yourself crazy refreshing the threads every 5 minutes.Raiden wrote:I feel particuparty proud n0t having checked TLS in the past month, but now that it's a week away...hard not to think about it.
And you KNOW you're going to check right on time anyway. Just schedule it on your calendar and try to forget about TLS until then. Good luck man, hope this year's your year!

Exactly, who are we fooling. It's fun to think of ways to minimize the pain...but, alas...futile in the end.a male human wrote:Literally stay away from here until Friday 6 PM or else you'll drive yourself crazy refreshing the threads every 5 minutes.Raiden wrote:I feel particuparty proud n0t having checked TLS in the past month, but now that it's a week away...hard not to think about it.

At the dentist today my docs son took the bar exam twice. Failed first time, hired tutor second time and passed. I'm hoping that it was a sign of good things to come.

I have a premonition that California for a change may go the "Alaskan" way (Alaska result that came out yesterday showed 72% pass rate) by getting a higher passing rate.
Is that wishful thinking?

CA Bar examiners can't get off without the screams and agony of 60% failures. They like to give it raw dog with no lube.JDMBALLMMS wrote:I have a premonition that California for a change may go the "Alaskan" way (Alaska result that came out yesterday showed 72% pass rate) by getting a higher passing rate.

They've developed a tolerance and now like to see sub-50% pass rates even in July (see 2015)Rukawa wrote:CA Bar examiners can't get off without the screams and agony of 60% failures.
