Anyone know at what point SBLE updates an applicants information on the portal to reflect that they passed?

Does anyone know how to find out our MBE score in order to know whether our score is high enough to waive into DC?

Don't buy it. Maryland will send you your MBE score.

What kind of stats do you get from NCBE report? Scaled score and % comparison to others in state/country? Any kind of breakdown on subject matter or anything like that?NYKfanAIesq wrote:I bought the score report from NCBE...eloise16 wrote:Does anyone know how to find out our MBE score in order to know whether our score is high enough to waive into DC?
I have to admit, at first I was SO GLAD that it was pass/fail so there was less pressure, but now I'm really curious as to how I did and contemplating ordering the report just to have some sort of idea on how my score shook out. I could justify by saying that I need to know MBE score for purposes of waiving into DC, but since I got a federal government job, I really don't NEED the extra jurisdiction at this point and may not spend the extra $$$$ to do so.

Re: MD Bar Exam- July 2015- Thoughts
I just checked this morning -- although NCBE says Maryland sends out scores, Rule 8(a) on the Board of Law Examiners page says that successful takers are not sent scores.NYKfanAIesq wrote:What about our essay scores?owl2be wrote:Don't buy it. Maryland will send you your MBE score.
http://mdcourts.gov/ble/pdfs/baradmissionrules.pdf:
Rule 8. NOTICE OF GRADES AND REVIEW PROCEDURE
(a) Notice of Grades, Alteration
Notice of examination results shall be sent to each examinee by regular mail,
postage prepaid. Successful examinees shall be notified only that they have passed.
Unsuccessful examinees shall be given their grades in the detail the Board considers
appropriate. Thereafter, the Board may not alter any examinee's grades except when
necessary to correct a clerical error.

NCBE only provides a PDF of your scaled score. that's it. just a number. Congrats on the federal government job!kateebee wrote:What kind of stats do you get from NCBE report? Re: MD Bar Exam- July 2015- Thoughts
Just got my official letter, too, with the MBE score reported. Did anyone else get the pink slip saying there is an exception with their character investigation?? I'm confused because I've already had my interview, and I've already received an email notifying me that they recommended me for character and fitness.....

So paying NCBE for a score report is pretty much a waste of $$$, right?

I received the pink slip, despite having my interview. I figured it was because I only recently had my interview, and the letters may have been put together before then. But if you find out anything differently, let me know!eloise16 wrote:Just got my official letter, too, with the MBE score reported. I called them this morning and they said that the pink slip thing is super super common and that they just can't lift it until you send in the affirmation form. I'm not sure if we're notified when the exception is lifted, though?gr8scOtt! wrote:I received the pink slip, despite having my interview. Does anyone know if the pass list by name will be available to us without having to pay for a subscription to The Daily Record?

Re: MD Bar Exam- July 2015- Thoughts
Came across a hard copy (they still exist!!) of the Daily Record, and they have a nice, two-page spread showing off our names.
The writers noted that this year's passage rate (63%) was the worst in over a decade. UM Law's passage rate was 76% for first timers, and U. Baltimore's was 60%. No info on the DC schools.
