Do you honestly think NY is going to pass people who would have otherwise failed so people can get on board with the UBE or are you just saying something like this to calm yourself down?hockeyman969 wrote:Mind you this is overall pass rate ATL is talking about. In addition, this is for non-UBE scores. As for NY wanting to be a leader, let's keep in mind we have a situation where this is the first administration and we ask if NY isn't going to be a little more liberal if they want the UBE to catch on, do they want this to be as a fail by people bombing? I agree they'll be more stringent in the future but perhaps we may get a little more lucky.kidfromny wrote:NJ bar exam results reveal worst passage rates in a decade.... http://abovethelaw.com/2016/10/yikes-ne ... -a-decade/

This came from a Dean as well as a bar review company director...so not my thoughts entirely.

Yeah. This. NY pass more attorneys so the UBE catches on? 0 chance. NY adopted it, everyone else is following suit, whether or not the passage rate plummets.ronanOgara wrote:Do you honestly think NY is going to pass people who would have otherwise failed so people can get on board with the UBE or are you just saying something like this to calm yourself down?hockeyman969 wrote:Mind you this is overall pass rate ATL is talking about. I think it's clear NY had more than their share of say when it came to the essays. First time a hybrid question thrown into the mix? Questions with up to 5 maybe even 6 sub questions? That has NY BOLE written all over it.

That evidence question was quite tempting but recall it did prompt you with "Federal Rules of Evidence" which may have been a signal...maybe a trap.

February 2015 was a 5pm release. Worst part was being resigned to it coming out at midnight so was checking my e-mail nonchalantly after work and it just came out of nowhere. Hit me like a bus.

I also got the survey. I never submitted the first one so I'm assuming that's why.

Not to fear, here in the July 2016 thread we know to check our e-mail at 5pm, then TLS around 10:30pm for a NYLJ announcement, and then our e-mail against at midnight.TLSaul2001 wrote:February 2015 was a 5pm release. OK, it says "if you have already completed the survey we thank you for your participation and you may ignore this message." I guess this proves an interesting debate

I submitted the first one last week, and I got another survey email just now. Computers are hard - we should probably stop reading into this so much.didntretake wrote:I also got the survey. I never submitted the first one so I'm assuming that's why.

wonder if they are waiting for a certain percentage of surveys submitted before releasing the scores.

Maybe they are testing our email addresses. Too many mailer-daemons last time so they held back the results.
This is pretty hilarious at this point.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
