Sticking with my original prediction, which I made roughly one month ago, that results will be midnight tonight. If they are not released tonight, then it'll be the longest wait in three years.

Which considering it's the first time the test has been administered, is quite possible. What I don't understand is why they can't just release on the stated date? Why post early and cause unnecessary anxiety?

I bet BOLE took a page out of a political campaign and hired Mlk&Ckies as a paid troll for their entertainment.

I haven't seen this much rank speculation since people in the lsat threads thought that Asian stock photo girl on LSAC's login page was actually taunting us.
You guys need to take a few days off from the internet.

Dear NY Bar waiter,
After reviewing your participation in the NY waiters thread on
http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums, we have elected to take the unprecedented step of disregarding your exam. The character and fitness portion of your application clearly requested you disclose "any mental health issue which may adversely affect your ability to practice law." Your behavior within the thread referenced above is clear evidence of mental health issues, including neuroticism, an inability to distinguish reliable sources from common attempts at humor, persistent and severe depression, as well as chronic insecurity. None of this was disclosed on your application. Due to your lack of candor, we are rejecting your application to the New York State Bar pending a proper mental health evaluation and whatever treatment is recommended. We wish you the best in dealing with these ongoing issues.

People, if you didn't rise to Mlk&Ckies' bait he wouldn't be able to taunt you so effectively. The results come out when they come out. Stop trying to read the signs and if you don't like M&C's posts just ignore them.

NY is the UBE now, though. I'd wager the rates for NY have to be up from what they were last summer considering how difficult the exam used to be compared to the UBE. I don't think we can really go by passage rates in other jurisdictions, especially non-UBE jurisdictions but even other UBE jurisdictions, when it comes to how NY test takers may have fared.

Is this true? The UBE is easier than the NY Bar?

NY's old exam had the reputation of being one of the most difficult in the country.

I did not but i just got a phone call from a manhattan area code. They hung up before I could answer. I called back and it was a pizza shop. Guy on the other line told me he dialed the wrong number. I don't believe him. I think it was BOLE. I think they are pretending to be pizza shop owners.

To further this, I've heard that the day before Thanksgiving is the busiest day of the year for pizza shop owners. I wouldn't be surprised if results come out the day before Thanksgiving.

Mind you this is overall pass rate ATL is talking about. In addition, this is for non-UBE scores. As for NY wanting to be a leader, let's keep in mind we have a situation where this is the first administration and we ask if NY isn't going to be a little more liberal if they want the UBE to catch on, do they want this to be as a fail by people bombing? I agree they'll be more stringent in the future but perhaps we may get a little more lucky.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't many of the states ATL writes about utilize the MBE, which is more or less 50% of each state's exam?

Yes but 50% of the exam is discretionary too.
